looks like it would work i was just stupid and bought it to remotely turn on computer not thinking that if the computer was off then i would have no power on the motherboard

I bought this cable for the purpose of connecting a small monitor to my computer to display temps. I bought this with high hopes seeing as how it had a respectable rating. Turn out this is quite possibly the most dangerous thing you can buy. The moment I turned on my computer I could smell something burning. On closer inspection the cable had melted and one of the pins was broken. This cable nearly destroyed $2,000 worth of computer components. Hopefully the obvious lack of quality control is rectified soon. Very disappointed.
