It does not work for me. I place it around the plastic cap on the bottle, squeeze the handle, and turn it, but it does not grip the cap securely. The Dodivo Jar Lid Opener just slips around the side of the cap, and will not open it. Perhaps I am not using it correctly. It is advertised as helpful to those with arthritic hands and seemed a perfect tool for my own needs. I keep trying, but it keeps sliding and not opening.AFTER SUBMITTING THIS REVIEW, I TRIED TO USE THIS OPENER AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME I FLIPPED IT OVER AND IT WORKED! MY PROBLEM WAS NOT THE OPENER. I WAS THE PROBLEM. I HAD EITHER MISREAD THE INSTRUCTIONS (NO LONGER IN HAND) OR THERE MAY HAVE BEEN NO INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED. I CHANGED MY RATING FROM ONE STAR TO FIVE STARS.
