got my 1st raun, been using norelco for 10 yrs. i have 4 bottles of norelco jet clean fluid - can i use it till im finished with my brain 790cc?

Hi Andrew,This is from my personal experience. I purchased the same 4 pack of the cleaning alcohol 11/17/2012 (approximately 13 months). I still have about 40% of my last cleaning solution remaining. This is what I do to maximize the life span of this product:*Note: The alcohol will evaporate rather quickly if you leave the cartridge in the cleaning system. 1) After I use my cleaning alcohol, I immediately seal it with the plastic cover that you have to rip off to open. 2) I have never rinsed the razor head under water for I feel that it makes the blades a bit rusty and dull, and makes the razor a bit ineffective. 3) After each shave, empty out the razor head. In addition, utilize the small brush that came with your shaving system set to clean the loose hairs in the underlying compartment. The fewer hairs the cleaning alcohol has to filter out, the cleaner the alcohol will remain. 3) I use the cleaning alcohol every 2 shaves.$20 for a 1 year cleaning solution that maintains the original quality of the razor is quite a good deal.Hope this helped man. will this work with series 5

Yes I purchased the Braun Series 5 for my boyfriend a few months back and when it needed a refill I purchased these and it was a perfect fit :)

Will these work in the Braun Pulsonic razor system?

I have a Series 7 Braun razor. It came with a cleaning station and these cartridge refills fit that station. I don't know what your "Pulsonic system" looks like, so would recommend contacting Braun directly. They have been very helpful both on the phone and by e-mail.

Why do 8 cartridges cost > 3 times as much as 4?

You don’t have to use these every time you use the razor. I rinse mine under water once a week then use the rinse. After the rinse I close up the cartridge so it won’t evaporate. By rinsing the shaver under water first you keep the fluid clean longer. This way you can do forever with a cartridge.
