Can this be used to make your own RV blackout curtains?

Not sure as a blackout. I use it to insulate cold items whine outside

How thick is this material?

The shiny part is paper thin, so thickness is due to the batting quilted to it. With calipers it’s about 0.1”/2.5mm and compresses to 0.04”/1.3mm. It’s fairly thin. The crinkle sound is similar to or slightly less than the wrapper of an individually-packaged snack bar or candy bar; noticeable but not distracting.

How flexible is this? Can it be sewn to curtain without making the curtain feel like a board?

I won’t use it for curtains it’s pretty thick and it wouldn’t drape good.

Would this help with window heat if I made curtains or attached it to a glass door?

I’m not totally sure. I know that if you placed it on the outside of the glass with the silver side out, it will effectively deflect the heat. I used it as a reflective front to my outdoor refrigerator and if I place my hand under the “curtain” of Insul-Shine my refrigerator absorbs no outside heat; it’s amazing.
