For the price I half expected to have to make al sorts of adjustments and blade changes. The blades that are prefixed are strong and don’t need sharpening or changing that often. The adjustment devices for depth etc actually hold firm and don’t vibrate loose like other cheap brands. Pleasantly surprised for the money, around 40 hours of use already and no issues at all.The cord is a little short though which is a bit annoying, but for the difference in cost between corded and battery, it’s still cheaper to buy a good extension cord.

Ease of use. Not too heavy, easy to maintain

I bought this plane specifically for a project, to fix various old door in my house which were sticking, so didn't want to spend a fortune. All items were in the box. The plane has been easy to use and has done the job pretty easily.Two thoughts that have effected my star rating are; 1. the cut height adjuster markings are raise numbers and indices in the plastic in the same colour as the knob, so you have to look closely to see the setting, 2. the dust bag nozzle wasn't a very tight fit, so before using the plane I wrapped a small amount of sellotape around it to get a snug fit - it stayed on no problem. Do note although the dust bag does collect dust you will still get a lot of cutting around your work.Overall happy and its now stored away until the next job.

Ready to use straight out if the box easy change of cutting depth with the dial. Used it today to smooth down recycled fence posts it did the job in a couple of passes, much easier than using a manual plane. I also used the bag to collect the shavings, there is still some clean up to do but most of it went in the bag, a great addition, the plane also has a fitting to attach to vacuum.Super tool at a superb price if you need an electric plane at an affordable price you can not go wrong with this one. A good purchase for me..
