AGGRESIVE CHEWER A+ APPROVED! LONG LASTING DOG TOY!
Hello! I am reviewing here the goDog Gators Squeaky Plush Dog Toy, Chew Guard Technology. I want to give this 5 stars because of the type of product I received and the craftsmanship that went into this. This toy is wonderful my dog absolutely loves it and is a very "Aggressive-Chewer" 10/10 energy, he tears things up but cant seem to tear this one up. Created by PetWise this toy is made very well there’s a tough, reinforced liner made of a denser polyester or possibly a nylon weave. The Polyester fibers are strong, and resistant to tearing. The seams are double stitched as well which is very good. The force of the chewing is dispersed through all the different layers of the material making this last MUCH longer than other toys. This toys texture with the bubbles and such is perfect for Dogs because Dogs have mechanoreceptors inside there mouth that detect texture increasing the "want to chew" on this toy effect. This is not just a normal dog toy... this is an investment for you to buy for your dog. You cannot go wrong with this product! I highly recommend this.

Great chew toys that last, just don't use them for tug of war
We've bought three of these at this point, although that's no fault of the manufacturing. The first one the puppy destroyed, but only because it was her first toy ever after being adopted and she basically worked out all of her anxiety on this one large sized gator toy. It was subjected to far more chew strength and gnawing than any of her toys since. The second one we bought her would probably have lasted indefinitely, except it got used for tug of war and a seam ripped. As soon as the pup saw that tear it was game over, she turned the tear into a gaping hole at which point we had to throw it out.For the third one, we got the XL version and she loves it. She carries over the love she had for the first two smaller versions to this bigger one, and treats it like a teddy bear (granted, a teddy bear whose head she gnaws on while she relaxes, but still). But even after an intense gnawing session, when you pick up the toy, you'd never know it. The fabric used on these things is live kevlar for dog teeth. Assuming no one makes the tug of war mistake again, she should have this one for a loooong time.

Holding up...so far.
* UPDATE *Figured I'd do a little update here. Been well over a month since I got him his replacement and it's still strong as ever! So I definitely believe now that my previous assumption was correct. The only real way these seem like they're going to rip is with some other force contributing to it and that a dog can't simply do it by themselves.I'd definitely recommend and plan on purchasing another when the time comes to replace this current one!* UPDATE *Little under a month of owning it and dog managed to tear it open at one of the seams and get stuffing E'RYWHERE! Believe he may have only really accomplished this because by the end of the day, I have every one of his toys under my desk chair. One day, I inadvertently rolled over part of it and didn't realize that I had, nor that him constantly causing my chair to move wasn't his daily activity of bumping into it while laying down, but was him trying to free his toy from its pain and misery. So believe it only got the tear in it in the first place that allowed him to really get into it was because of a situation that's abnormal.I've already ordered and have a new one as I don't really think he'll be able to rip up another one as easily with out other assistance like he had with the first one, but I shall see! Even if he does, I'll continue buying them. He really seems to enjoy it over all and few bucks a month for him to have something to play with isn't going to break the piggy bank. Also would like to note that this time this one came in protective wrapping, but seemed like an Amazon type wrapping more so than the manufacturer. So kudos to Amazon for placing it in a plastic baggy.* ORIGINAL *Doing my initial review of this and I'll edit it later in regards to how long it lasted with my dog, when/if that time comes! My dog absolutely LOVES this thing! He's basically got it down that if I get a box from the front door and talk to him, that he's getting something. I thought he was excited when I sat down and was opening the packaging, boy was I wrong! Soon as I took it out, he went bonkers for it! He knew it was his and he wanted it NOW! I could barely get the tags off of it, he wanted it so badly. Matter a fact, he did manage to take it from me at least once before I could get everything removed. It appears to be holding up pretty well. Granted, I've only had it for a few days, but every time I turn around, he's chewing and tooting this thing like crazy. He typically tears larger things up relatively quickly, so I suspect if he can easily get through it, it'll be with in the next week. However I don't think he will, at least not as easily as he tends to others. It seems pretty durable and even playing "tug-o-war" with him, it felt strong.Only complaint I do have is that it comes as is. Not wrapped up in any kind of plastic or anything, so who knows what it could have been exposed to.

Not durable. Don't waste your money.
The media could not be loaded. Destroyed within 2 minutes. Thought it would be good but the extra "fins" and "jaws" created break points that my dog ripped thru nearly immediately. Waste of money. And this was not cheap. Super disappointed as my previous dog made one of these last for years. Don't bother if you have a chewer or destroyer.

Not durable enough for my dog.
So, I got my 40 lbs lab mix heavy duty chewer the goDog Gators Squeaker Plush Pet Toy, and let me tell you, it was a total mixed bag. On the one hand, the toy is made of high-quality and safe materials, so I didn't have to worry about my dog chowing down on any toxic chemicals or anything. Plus, the pink color was super cute and my dog really loved the squeaker feature. But on the other hand, the toy didn't last very long at all. My pup managed to rip it apart within a week, which was a total bummer. I mean, come on, I thought this toy was supposed to be tough and chew-resistant! So, all in all, I'm giving this toy a 4-star rating. It's great for dogs who are less aggressive chewers, but if you've got a pup who really likes to sink their teeth into their toys, you might want to look for something a bit sturdier. Still, for the price, it's not a bad option if you're looking for a cute and fun toy to entertain your furry friend.
