I use this all of the time to make my mini albums. Grafix chipboard is always consistent, square, and works well for covers.

I bought this product as a possible cover for a traditional Asian stab-bound or Coptic bound book. It is a sturdy heavy product that seems to be cut precisely, perhaps by die-cutting and would be well-suited to this purpose. I do not have any litmus paper so could not test it for acidity. If it is truly acid-free as stated in the description, that would be a plus, but so far as I know, you have to trust the seller on this point if it is important. In my experience, this is kind of a horse apiece with unknown sellers.Chipboard, in this context, is basically the product you generally find on the back of tear-off note pads. It has to be sturdy and inexpensive for that purpose. The only fly in the ointment is that it is not especially "pretty". For my intended purpose, it will probably have something more decorative bonded to it... perhaps a traditional Japanese or Korean hand-made paper.After I have actually used the product, I will perhaps revisit this review and add to it, but as I am in the process of moving my print shop, that may be some while yet.

Love this stuff, I've ordered it like over 10 times, I wish it came in larger packs and different sizes! I use these for coptic stitch book binding, they're great! Reliable and incredibly durable.

I bought this a long time ago to try with a die cut machine. I had actually been referred to it by another site and I wish I had done my research a little more. Now that I have my new caliper I can say with certainty that the thickness on this is about 1.43 mm which is way too thick for most die cut machines. Even using heavy duty scissors is rather difficult for this particular chipboard.If you are looking for chipboard for the silhouette machines, I highly suggest buying their brand. I have tried out several different brands and the best results are their own brand since they make it pretty thin. However, this particular chipboard is not horrible for some projects. My biggest complaint was that the ends of the pieces are smashed so they do not look very nice. Since they are difficult to cut with heavy duty scissors I can either deal with the smashed ends or suffer with trying to cut them. I have used a few for shipping some products that needed to be kept semi-protected and they worked well for that.So, for my purposes they are good for shipping and bad for crafts. I'm glad I tried them out, though. At least I found something to help with shipping certain products!

This is a nice thickness, I have used them for 2 journals now, with one sheet cut in half to make the front and back cover, and cutting another sheet up for the spines. This is much better than the random cardboard I was using, and does not warp, especially if you glue the cover paper on with Fabri-tac glue.
