No 5G!!!
Very poor support service. Their UK and AU centres stopped replying when they knew something was wrong on their end. To this day there is not solution from them as to why the 5G is disabled. Did not want to return the phone as I needed it and did not want to return the phone for a refund till it was confirmed that something might be wrong with the hardware and it's just not software issue. Anyway stuck with it now.

Its brilliant if not coming from a high-end phone
I loved the realme 8 5g when I first got it but sent it back within a week! I went from a Samsung s9+ to this and at first it seemed just as good but when using everyday a few things grated on me and I couldn't live with it! 1. The screen really is not as bright and vibrant, it looked washed out, noticed on webpages that were bright, even just reading on the kindle the white was dull. It is no match to the Samsung screens. 2. No notification light on the front to show its on charge/charged or to notify you to let you know have a message. 3. Because of the above you need to press the power button to turn on and check and if like me you use the same finger as the fingerprint login it keeps turning the phone on when its not what I wanted to do. 4. The camera, the camera is pretty good mega pixel wise but because I think it lacks the widescreen option all the pictures I took landscape or portrait looked the same so you would look back on your phone screen and they all look 4:3. 5. I really like the secure folder option on Samsung's but obviously this is only a Samsung thing, I thought there would be apps similar but there are not!! I missed this the most! 6. No wireless charging. So overall really good phone especially for the money, battery was brilliant, I used it a lot during the day and the least it dropped to was around 55% by the time I went to bed. 5g was great, held the signal well. Looks really nice, good quality, I am really annoyed I couldn't keep it, if it had a front notification light I probably would have! But unfortunately too many things better on the Samsung. If you are not coming from a higher range phone you will love it! I would still recommend even with my list of negatives if you don't mind any of them go for it!
