Very happy with this purchase
I bought these gloves as a gift for my mother. I was a bit hesitant due to their large size, but they were a big hit. She says they're much easier to use than oven mitts, and she feels practically no heat through them whatsoever. Very happy with this purchase!

Works like stated
Had a chance to use the gloves during oven cooking. The hottest I tried so far was holding a metal pan at 425 degrees. So far, it's working great. No advice yet on the cutting protection at the moment.

Awesome
I was shocked that I couldn't feel the heat at all!! It's so mind boggling since these are cloth. I bought the rubber gloves before these. Don't buy the rubber ones!! These gloves here are 100x better and worth the money.

Good for the price
The gloves are perfect and leave a very good mobility in the fingers. Although if it isolates from hot objects it does not isolate all the heat completely like some silicon gloves.

Nice Surprise
It performs as advertised. It was not clear when I ordered that you receive two (2) gloves; I ordered this for BBQ and had assumed that like most BBQ mitts, it would be one. Nice surprise!

Durable and dependable, a great tool for cooking
Disclaimer: I purchased this product at a discount, but am under no obligation to write this review.I have long had difficulties handling hot objects in the kitchen. Even with oven mitts, I would often find myself in situations where I did not have the dexterity to pick them up with such blunt hand coverings without risk of dropping them. I have trays that fit exactly inside the toaster oven, plates that fit exactly inside the pot I use to steam food, and glass containers that are great for storing and reheating food in, but they tend to lack handles and do not have much leeway for grabbing the edges when they fit that well inside the heating implement. In addition, I find that I have to double up on padding sometimes because normal cotton stuffed fabric just doesn't block heat for very long at the point of contact. These gloves resolve both of these issues.Due to the snugly woven Kevlar fabric, you will never have issues with handling hot items from your kitchen ever again. These things can withstand an open flame and pretty extreme temperatures. You can comfortably hold a hot metal plate by the edges for as long as you want, and the heat just dissipates as soon as it transfers to the surface of the gloves. With the separated fingers and rubberized grips (which are also as protected as the Kevlar material), you will also be able to grasp more kinds of objects much more easily than with a pair of oven mitts. I could easily pull those snug trays and plates out of their places and hold glassware with the grips. I could even remove and hold the hot grill of the oven without much trouble. I didn't try this, but I'm pretty sure I could put my hand in an open flame without any issues, although you should probably limit that kind of activity unless absolutely necessary, for safety reasons. These would definitely hold up to a grill, though. As a bonus, Kevlar also resists bladed edges as stated above, so if you have trouble with handling kitchen knives and such, it might also be helpful in that regard, although you might have to account for the difference in handling objects when you are wearing thick gloves. Still a great way to stay safe, although you might want to avoid anything that's too wet, for reasons detailed further below. My only caveat with these gloves is that these gloves are pretty large and might take some getting used to for people with smaller hands, but I could get my fingers all the way in with a few firm tugs to adjust the fit. Still, for those users, dexterity may be slightly reduced. I would test them out first to make sure you are able to handle weighted objects of the nature that you intend to use them for before trying to do so when those objects are hot.A feature not shared by other gloves of this kind is the glow in the dark feature, which doesn't appear to have affected the durability. You might need a strong light source to charge it up, but afterwards, they are pretty easy to see at night. I'm still not quite sure why you would need this feature if you already have a light source nearby, but it's there if you need it.A few other notes:- these gloves are identical on either side, so you can give the other one to somebody else and you'll both be able to have a glove on each, on either hand- machine washable and has cloth loops for hanging on a hook- as an insulated pair of gloves lined with soft cotton, they are quite warm inside, so factor this into how long you wear them in warmer climates- while blade resistant, there are some limits as to what the gloves can take, and as cloth items, they probably aren't as good at stopping anything with a small, sharpened point- even though these will keep your hands up to a few inches past your wrists safe from high temperatures, keep in mind such things as convection, hot ashes and embers, high flames, and other such things when you are handling objects in a high heat environment, as they will not protect anything above that point on your arm from burns- because these are cloth all the way through, they will not protect you from hot water, and heat in general, if the gloves are wet- I have not tested these for sword fighting with wizards in the darkness, and I can't endorse or recommend doing so, but if you do happen to try that out, I would like to know how that goes- I have, however, tested them for typing ability, and they work fine in that capacity
