JASON Anti-Razor Burn Shaving Lotion, 8 Ounce

When I originally bought this, I thought it was an aftershave. Oh well, it's been a life saver for my armpits! I believe there's several ways you can use it, but I just use this as shaving lotion. It ended ingrown hairs and general shaving irritation. For some reason, my armpits are super sensitive even when using a freshly sharp razor and other shaving creams. I've tried different deodorants as well without success. I also use this on my legs now too. I use a very liberal amount and therefore go through it quickly, but it's worth every penny to have happy pits! The smell is not fantastic but it's fine with me. More on the masculine side, but it doesn't bother me. I think that's the candula? in it.

This is a review of Jason's Anti-Razor Burn Shaving Lotion.I tried Jason's based on several good reviews, but now that I've tried it I don't understand the reviews at all. I'd rather shave with a bar of soap.My first shave with it had me checking the package because I was sure I somehow got the wrong product. It looks and feels like hand lotion, and pretty much shaves that way too. It doesn't lather and my razor felt like it was dragging across my face; nowhere near as smooth as traditional shaving creams or gels. Just for the heck of it I tried shaving with hair conditioner and it's pretty much the same.The slight (menthal?) tingle and smell were pleasant. I just wish it gave me a good shave. My wife tried it on her legs and also wasn't impressed, so in the trash it goes unfortunately.

This has kind of mentholated feeling to it after it sits for awhile which you may or may not like. It doesn't bother me, but I don't really prefer it. That aside, for a shaving cream without a lot of chemicals in it, it does the job. I wish it worked as well as a regular foaming shave cream does, but I sacrifice the comfort of those for putting less strange additives I can't pronounce onto my face.Overall, it's better than most of the "natural" shave creams I've tried so far, but that still isn't great.

Works pretty well. I really love the cooling, tingling feeling it gives me even after washing it off. The smell is pleasant to me but some might find it too strong- it could certainly clear your sinuses. I have never gotten razor burn since using this, even with my very old, very dull razor. Only down side I can think of is how it doesn't really show up on your skin like a regular foam shaving cream would, but I suppose that's why it's called a shaving lotion, so I won't knock off any stars for that. It doesn't need to be visible anyways, as it works fine.

I now have used it. It had a graininess to it, so it acted like an exfoliate too. It's hard to write a review about shaving cream. I hope it does what for... help with shaving. I think it did well. I like it, so I'll buy it again. Good price compared to other brands in stores.

This is advertised for shaving, but my husband says it doesn't do the job as well has shaving cream. We were looking for the after shave (apparently no longer available). My husband uses this as a face wash after he shaves which works similar to an aftershave.

I have gone through 3 bottles of this stuff. It lasts longer and works better than a foamy can of gel or cream, razor slides easier, and it has some bunch of tingly ingredients (doesn't seem like just menthol) that make my face feel clean and tingly. This and a 6-blade Dorco razor (also from Amazon) and I actually enjoy shaving, even if I'm in the shower and still asleep. Whoever you are, "Jason", please continue to make this stuff for the rest of my life. Thank you.

This is different than the JASON 6-in-1 Shaving Lotion. The actual product received is as follows (from JASON's web site): JĀSÖN® Anti-Razor Burn Lotion features soothing Aloe Vera Gel to form a protective cushion of rich lather for a close, comfortable shave, leaving your skin soft and smooth. Salicylic Acid and Glycolic Acid help fight razor bumps and ingrown hairs.Beyond that issue, I did not like the lotion. I have sensitive skin and got more razor burn using this lotion than when I used Edge shaving gel. Still looking for a smoother, less irritating shave, I started subscribing to Dollar Shave Club recently and I really prefer their Dr. Carver's Shave Butter to this lotion.

The previous version was the best shaving product I have ever used but the "New & improved" product shown in the photo is nowhere near as good - I will need to find an alternative.The formulation has been changed and the new ingredients are definitely not an improvement. The addition of peppermint oil now gives an unpleasant harsh effect and this product is not "soothing" as the packaging claims.The new version also no longer includes exfoliating jojoba beads - the description on Amazon relates to the previous version and needs updating to match the photo and the new product.The changes have has not been made clear to customers - the Jason website still shows the original product but the change seems to have taken place some months ago.It is not clear why Jason felt the need to change a perfectly good product. I had been using this shaving lotion for around 10 years and I am very disappointed that a top quality product is no longer available.

I wouldn't normally leave product reviews, but i'm really impressed with this product.I've only ever used your standard brand name shaving gels/foams, and always had horrible shaving rash and discomfort afterwards, i thought it was time to try something new.My initial impression is genuine surprise, it's an unusual experience; it's got a really strong minty smell, almost menthol - it's actually a bit like shaving with Vix vaporub! But that's not a bad thing, i don't like vaporub, but i'd forgive this Lotion that, because of how good it is. I've never had such a close comfortable shave; it left my skin feeling really calm/cool, and soft, no shaving rash or irritation, it's brilliant!

Bought this on the basis of a few reviews. Oh dear.The creme seems to have very little 'slick' in it - I reckon the perfect shave is a mixture of smooth lather and a smidgen of greasiness to help the razor glide. This stuff feels like an aqueous moisturiser than a shave cream. And I cant say my skin feels great - if anything it stung a bit straight afterwards.And while its maybe a great idea on paper to include an exfoliating scrub element in here ('jojoba beads, ahem') its kind of pointless. You scratch off the top layer of your skin much more effectively with the cold steel during a shave and the crushed nuts (that feel like sand) are unnecessary Id have thought.All the scrub does is irritate you and you just want to get the shave over with ASAP. Hardly conducive to a morning ritual.

Like all Jason products, this is a really good product. It doesn't smell great IMO, but it is very effective at preventing razor burn & contains no toxic or carcinogenic ingredients.The smell is what I would describe as medical.Regardless, it is still one of the cheapest & most effective shaving creams you can buy & is my go to shaving cream at the moment.Highly recommended.Use with a shaving oil underneath for even better results.
