If you go for the 1 inch ports, use brass bushes to bring them down to half inch fittings. This makes for a stong fitting conection.

Quality of unit ok. The seal isn't the easiest to get to seal but you will have to use some form of lubricant to get the housing tight. It's only a single plastic 'O' ring. It takes a few attempts to get it right.
