Perfect Replacement
Got this to replace the start/run capacitor on my Coleman HVAC unit. The fan was fairly frequently not starting, at which point you could hear the compressor hissing, which is not a good thing. So far this has worked flawlessly and was super easy to replace.

Cheap easy fix just be careful as capacitors store energy.
First and foremost capacitors and hvac in general can be deadly. Do your research and make sure every power source is disconnected and you discharge capacitors correctly before handling. A couple days ago I noticed the house was getting warm. I went outside and checked condenser unit nothing seemed odd. Whole hvac system is from 1999/2000 so it’s old but simple. I have a smart thermostat so I could control it from my phone from outside. I shut the system down and then turned it back on. Fan started but was really slow. I never heard compressor kick on but the fan is so noisy it’s kinda hard to tell. I started doing a little research and have always heard 8/10 times the capacitor has failed, 1/10 the contacts have failed and 1/10 the unit has a failure. I don’t have a voltage meter handy so I decided the capacitor must have enough juice to barely start the fan but definitely not enough to start the compressor. So I opened up the side panel after shutting off breakers and pulling the outside disconnect. I used an insulated handle screwdriver to cross all the capacitor lugs then proceeded to disassemble it to get the info off it. It was a made in china model go figure it crapped out. Did some research on best capacitors to by and mars was in the top three. This is a rather easy and cheap fix even if you don’t have correct tools to test the capacitor. I have learned to work on everything out of necessity of being broke. Put the new capacitor on tonight and everything fired right up like it should. FYI take pictures of your wires going into the cap.

Mars/Jard is top tier for HVAC parts.
I work in construction. Not HVAC but I hang out with them any chance I get due to the fact that it cost a paycheck to have an HVAC company do the simplest repairs. This one falls into that category and imo is most likely the issue if your AC unit (or fridge) won't kick on. As with anything, before I make a call to a repair company or friend in the business, I open up the unit and take a look. Look for burnt wires or any obvious defects. Most of the time I see the issue rather quickly. With this you will most likely here a buzz. A bad cap will sound like the unit trying so hard to start but just not enough juice. If you are here, you are probably a diy person and rely on google and reviews for your parts and advice. For any hvac parts Mars is the best but not always the cheapest. If you can find the Mars or JARD brand here at Amazon you will find the best part at the best price. BE CAREFUL with these capacitators. They store power so even if they are not connected you can get shocked and severely shocked. I was happy Amazon carried this and more than half the cost of my local service center and 1/10th of the cost of a repair person. A simple, low cost repair. Like changing a battery. Thumbs up to Amazon for having this available for me.

Exact replacement for my heat pump's start capacitor
Seems to be very well made and works fine. Replaced a weakened capacitor in my outdoor heatpump unit with now issues. This one was a slightly different size of the one it replaced, but it was easy to adjust the mounting strap to accomodate it.

Save yourself a LOT OF $$
Was able to replace the dead capacitor in my AC unit with the exact part for less than $14. Local HVAC service would’ve charged me $500-$1000. Ease of replacement: Same part so replacement was a no brainer. Match: Same exact part that was originally installed. Fit: Perfect fit. Ease of installation: Super simple installation. If you aren’t sure if you can, just check out a few YouTube videos and you’ll see how simple it is when you follow the correct steps & safety protocols.

Easy DIY project
This is what starts up your air conditioner condenser fan and compressor. When it goes bad they will not start. It is easy to replace and there is no need to pay someone hundreds of dollars to replace it for you.

Decent running capacitor
I am a retired heat pump master technician so I’m very picky about the capacitors I put on equipment I work on. But this one is exactly rated correctly underload which is wonderful. to get the Correct reading of the microfarads you check the amount of amps being used through the run winding of your motor take the amps and times it by 2652 then divide it by the voltage across the common and start winding . Amps times 2650 divided by voltage will give you the exact Reading of the capacitor. If it is off by over 10% you need to replace your capacitor. I’ll tell you a little secret even though the capacitor is brand new and out of the box you should still test it because 20% of the capacitors do not pass the test and this can lead to a very serious problem down the road. You should also test the capacitance when you do your yearly tuneup because capacitors do not last forever. If you live in a hot climate they wear out even faster. I only use 440 V capacitors inside of air-conditioning units because they are heavier duty than the 380 V ones. And can handle operating under High heat conditions such as an air conditioner.
