Does this wok for a 6 yr old?

Yes, it is perfect for my 4 and 6 year olds.

She is soft all accept a little harder around the mouth area. I bought this for my 4 year old daughter. She loves her & it's really nice looking. Great quality

Can you move the arms by hand too? Or is it just the mouth?

Yes, there are slots on the inside of the puppet to insert your fingers to operate her arms/hands.
