Maxcio TV LED Backlight with App Control, 2m USB Powered 5050 RGB Music Sync LED Strip Light, 6.6ft Smart Bluetooth Adjustable Lighting Kit for 26-32 Inch TV, PC Monitor, Computer Amdient Lighting

Arrived yesterday. Bought 2 sets, one for big tv and one for under shelf lighting in kitchen. Items well packed inside boxes. The strips come with sticky back hooks for the strips and a pad to secure the control box in place. 1 set connected to the router really easy but the other set was a bit more difficult and took a couple of attempts to get it connected. They look great and it is a bonus being able to control them through Amazon Alexa. Just add the Smartlife skill to Alexa and everything is automagically configured. The strip on the back of the tv holds its WiFi settings and connected straight away when I switched on the tv this morning. Took about 3 seconds to start responding to the Echo Dot.

I've had the product set up for a week. It is easy to install the lights strips to the back of a tv and have it working using the remote control. Connecting the lights to the app was a challenge, the instructions given are written is such small text it is almost impossible to read. I finally managed to set up the app and connect the device to my Google home.I am slightly disappointed as the advertising photos show the lights projecting several different colours at the same time, unfortunately they are unable to do this and can only show one colour at a time. It is able to fade from one colour to the next and had different modes/styles of cycling through the colours.

I have the 3m length, shown here, on a 46" TV. Just long enough to do all 4 sides. You will need a magnifying glass to read the tiny booklet of set up instructions. Fixing to tv is straightforward, I would suggest unrolling led strip completely before deciding where to start and ensure all 4 sides are covered or it will look odd when lit.Most modern routers are dual band nowadays but be warned this only works with 2.4Ghz band, so you may have to tweak modem settings if you want the smart functionality.Once set up it seems to initially work fine with alexa after downloading app, but have noticed over the last few days it has a tendency to drop wifi connection, this is annoying.Without smart functionality this works fine with the small supplied remote.Bought the 2m length for a smaller 27" which was just enough length. Same issues with wifi and reliable smart functionality

Adhesive on the strip was excellent. The colours are awesome. And the usability with alexa is brilliant. The app has alot of features which is great. Being able to select a specific hue from the colour wheel is a nice touch. The remote control is brilliant too.Connecting to alexa was a breeze and it works great. Turning it on and off, selecting certain colours. All works fine. However when creating routines with Alexa (eg I wanted a movie mode), Alexa does limit the colour choices to a handful of preset ones. So you can't select a particular shade that you like from the colour wheel. Not the end of the world though.The music feature is really good although a little annoying in my opinion. Flashing lights isn't my thing but if you're into thay kinda thing, it works really wellOverall super pleased with it considering the price. Would recommend this to anyone not wanting to spend an extra tenner on other more 'premium' names.

These lights work well enough, however there is an annoying thing that keeps happening. For some reason, even when the television is switched off the lights still sometimes come on by themselves. I then have to manually switch them off. This doesn't always happen and it's hard to say when it is going to happen as well. Apart from that they work well and have a range of brightness. There's also a good range of colours to choose from.

Error overcurrent in music mode with my tv. Otherwise all good. Because I wanted it for music on tv and it is not working in that mode only 3 stars.

Instructions too small to read unable to link app, also checked on you tube box normally has Alexa app showing on box this one doesn't so I can only presume it doesn't connect to Alexa. The app is not Maxcio but smart life. If they had connected to app and Alexa I would probably have given it a higher rating as backlights are working well. I cant even download a copy of instructions on line so I can see what the instructions are.

Looks great on top my wardrobe haven't had any problems or connectivity issues with this lightstrip works well in smart life and is on an automation when the wardrobe doors open gives a lovely ambient effect the sticky pads work will although it doesn't come with enough luckily I didn't need them.
