Great value for money
I was looking for replacing my Yamaha Rx679 since it went faulty and lying with service center for more than 5 months since the part was not available. Finally I could find a part in US but that costing more than the device itself :-(. The sound is good and I am using it with 5.1 setup with Yamaha NS-SP1800 (I am not a fan of loud sound). It comes with a setup mic with a paper stand. Setup was showing an error with one speaker phase change(I didn't look into much) and I ignored it during setup. There were multiple movie/music mode, dialog enhancer etc. One issue I found with a movie where the background music was loud but the dialog was not very audible(may be a setting issue, I didn't check much). There was a firmware update I got after I setup. The connections to the AVR from cable, Firestick was smooth and the speaker connection can be used with direct wire or banana plug. The seller that I bought had very poor rating, but I took a chance. I got the device is thick bubble wrap and the device was sealed. When I checked about the device in my area, they mentioned that at least for devices they sell, they keep the parts for devices sold 5 years back(Not sure if they repair if we bought from other seller). In general I heard the repair for AVR in India is not smooth. I have added a surge protector for this and I hope I won't need to take it for repair...

Worth for the money spent
If u are looking for a budget AVR for your home theater .. then this is the best one. I was using Onkyo But it had regular complaints with the HDMI board. It also stopped servicing in India. And then I decided to try Denon. Sound quality wise I felt Denon better than Onkyo. Onkyo was giving good sound quality while watching movies. But for listening to music it was not really good. But Denon gives better performance in Music as well. Make sure u install good-quality speakers matching the resistance. This also has a dedicated USB port where we can play the music directly..

An excellent AV receiver for watching movies in budget home theater system
An excellent AV receiver for watching movies in budget home theater system. Not great for music as Integrated Stereo amplifier deliver more nice and great sound for music. But for watching movies sound quality is nice and excellent in detailed. It depends upon movie supported with dolby atmos or dolby surround or DTX. Overall it has great sound output for watching movies.

Disappointing Experience with Denon AVR-S760H Compared to Yamaha RX-V485
I recently upgraded to the Denon AVR-S760H after using the Yamaha RX-V485 for over four years, and I must say it has been a disappointing experience overall. The sound quality is simply not up to par, especially from the center speaker—it lacks the richness and clarity I was accustomed to with Yamaha. I have tried hundreds of combinations of settings, but none of them delivered satisfying results. One setting do not match with other inputs. The AVR is not powerfuil even for a small room.Yamaha RX-V 485 is powerful and performed well even without a subwoofer. The Denon fails to provide a well-rounded audio experience, which is surprising given its reputation.Another downside is the complicated and cluttered settings menu.HEOS app is slow and buggy not polished as Yamahs's Musiccast app.The user interface is substandard. The remote control also feels like a major letdown—cheap-looking, low-quality plastic, which doesn't match the price point or expectations from a well-known brand like Denon. If you are considering upgrading to the Denon AVR-S760H, I would recommend thinking twice, especially if you're coming from Yamaha or a comparable AVR brand. Denon has not lived up to my expectations, and I personally regret the switch.Better not to go for Denons.Update: on August 2025.Remote controller damaged within 8 months of purchase.AVR gone repair within 9 months of purchase as it is going in standby mode after switching on.
