Just what I was looking for
We have 2 dogs that we bought these for. They used to eat there food in seconds and this slows them down enough to actually taste their food and now they are able to slow down to eat and have to work for it just a little. The non slip was great as my lab would be able to tip over a bowl and this he don’t even try. The quantity it hold is spot on so make sure you know how much your dogs get. Easy clean up and nice quality

Easy to clean and WORKS!
Pleasantly surprised that it actually slowed my dog’s eating! All our previous slow feeders had some sort of silicone that would inevitable turn black no matter how often we washed or bleached so to have a purely stainless steel option that WORKS is amazing.

More idea for dogs with short snouts
These do not slow my dogs down much more than a standard bowl. It's a great idea but probably not for dogs with a longer snout like a doberman as they can still get right in there. If you have a dog with a short about this would probably be great

It Works!
This really has slowed down feeding for our dog . I would highly recommend this dish if you have a dog that gulps down food. It’s made of heavy duty stainless steel and is easy to clean

Great for slowing down feeding; best for dog with long snout
Our golden mix was aiming at a world speed record, we think, in chowing down her meals. Literally, before we had a chance to cover the rest of the can and put it back in the fridge, she was finished with her meals! All the pet experts warn that gulping and chowing food is dangerous, especially for larger dogs, so we are relieved to have found this bowl. We previously tried a suction base insert thing in her previous ceramic bowl...but it didn't stay put, and she couldn't really get to the food. Most other slow feeder type bowls had two problems for us...they were plastic (no, thanks) and they were designed to sit on the floor, which doesn't work for our old girl. I found this Neater Feeder insert bowl, and we love it! First feeding was a little awkward, as she looked at me like I'd lost my mind! She tried to nibble, but walked away. And whimpered. Oh, the DRAMA! I ignored and went about my business, and a few minutes later, she returned with determination. It took her almost 10 minutes to finish the first meal, but two weeks in with it, she averages about 4 minutes....a FAR CRY from her typical 15 seconds! She just needed time to adjust. The bowl is stainless, good quality, strong, durable...all of that. I love that we can sanitize periodically in the dishwasher. It's a little tricky to clean by hand because the channel is deep. To that point, I believe this bowl will only be suitable for a dog whose snout can actually reach down into the deep channel. Our girl is golden mixed with husky or malamute (we aren't sure), so she get in there. A dog with a flatter face or short snout will be very frustrated and maybe not able to get the food. It's about 3" deep, and only about 1 1/2" wide (the channel). This bowl insert fit just fine in her existing elevated feeder (we replaced her ceramic bowl), but we decided to go ahead and get the large Neater Feeder base with leg extensions anyway, and glad we did. It's a bit large, but it's doing a great job protecting the wall, woodwork and floor from the usual spills and splashes. I reviewed that separately, if you're considering it. Great products, a little expensive, but we know it'll last a long time and our girl is worth it.

Not slip resistant only slows on of my dogs down out of 2.
It works well for my mini Aussie but my Bichon she still can eat fast and chokes when she eats so fast. So it sorta defeats the purpose of getting it for her. I'm unsure if it's because she has a smaller mouth or my Aussie has a smaller mouth rendering him to eat slower. I'm happy with the material they're made out of. But they scoot all over the floor and not slip resistant. I have put them in their old bowls to make them not slide all over the floor when they eat. They cute little bowls.

Great quality. Works well. Stopped my dog from eating his dinner in 2 minutes. Now it takes her about 5 - 6 minutes.
