Absolutely amazing!! I don’t know why a molcajete makes guacamole so much better than any other method, but having this has ensured our family will be buying copious amounts of avocados in 2026. I bought this particular molcajete as a Christmas present for my husband, and it is quite nice. It’s well packaged, comes with seasoning instructions, and makes perfect guacamole. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again as a gift for a friend or family member.

I did not get the cleaning brush with it so I had to go buy one.

Unfortunately, this came cracked on the edge but now reading all the reviews where they came the same I’m unsure if sending it back and hoping to get a new one uncracked is a viable option….

A truly beautiful thing! I recently went to Tulum and tried to bring back one of these in my hand luggage but it was confiscated by the airport security. Apparently I needed to put in my checked luggage as can be used as a weapon she said??? Anyways, I ordered this one and it is heavy!!! And a real authentic. Volcanic rock. I di have a slight chip posible damaged in transit. But its not a big deal! I followed the steps to ‘cure it’ using sea salt and then garlic… ease of grinding, and easy to clean. I can’t wait to use at my guacamole night!
