This is yet another stunning photo book from Radius Books.The reproductions are amazing, and several of the images are tipped into the book.Masao's work is really special as well, nature is reflected in images that capture unexpected moments of reality, that can look a almost unreal. They have a sophistication and subtlety that really comes across in the format of the book. The actual images are not a very large format, so the book represents Masao's work very close to reality. He prints his works and embellishes some with a few splashes of gold leaf or a spot of color.I am particularly drawn to the birds. The owl on the cover is one of the iconic images of contemporary nature photography. Digging deeper into the work, as this stunning monograph allows is a real treat.This is a must for any photo book fan.

If ever you want to please yourself, get this book!! The photographs are wonderful. Quiet and intense, like a meditation. There are no words for it. Just get it and you will see.
