I read through so many reviews here and elsewhere, and I was very worried that my first time working with epoxy resin was going to be a nightmare. This stuff mixed easily, poured easily, and cured perfectly. Air bubbles were not an issue. It took alcohol ink and mica like a champ. Really excited and will definitely be exploring more pours in the future!

I have used probably ever epoxy available on amazon except this one because it’s always so expensive, even though I often hear the brand come up a lot. When it came up for sale though right when I had an extra special project come in, and at a price that brought it within range of other options I decided to give it a shot to make sure I got the best possible result. That was a mistake. Right off the get go, the B is more yellow than most other options (if not the most). The A side appears to be artificially blue to compensate and make it green, which registers with most people as perfectly clear because we’re so used to looking through green glass. It’s always a red flag for me though because if it starts out yellow, it’s only going to get more yellow. I’ve since found a few youtube yellow-testing videos that show that to be the case with this brand. The only thing it did better than most was expel bubbles. I did two pours, one on the bottom of the project as an initial test, then another on the top a couple days later. The first pour seemed soft but some brands can take several days to reach full hardness so I kept going and was extra careful on the second pour to make sure my ratios and mixing were spot on just in case. Second pour was worse. Softer and even slightly sticky. I left it for about a month and it hardened a bit more but never reached the typical hardness of other brands. I tried to soak it in acetone to get it off and save the project but ultimately it ended up in the trash. Very disappointing but at least I didn’t pay full price I guess? I wouldn’t use it again even if it was free.

I have used Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast Plus multiple times now. To mix Part A and Part B the instructions say to measure each part by equal volume (e.g. 1ml + 1ml). However, I do not like 'eyeballing' volume, so I figured out what weights to use. The weight of Part B is slightly heavier than the weight of Part A, so if you want to mix by weight, take however much Part A you poured into the mixing cup (e.g. 10 grams) and multiply that by .941 to get the weight of Part B. So, for example, 10 grams Part A + 9.41 grams Part B. I use a pressure pot to squish any bubbles to the point they are invisible. I typically leave the casting in the pressure pot for 24 hours at anywhere from 35 psi to about 50 psi. Anything 35 psi and above has been working well for me. Castings, especially thin castings, can be soft at fist. Full cure does not happen for about 6 days. Even then, thin parts can still be a bit more flexible than I would prefer. I may try to get stiffer thin parts by adding a little more Part B which I believe is the hardener. If I do I will come back and update this review.

Love the product but dislike the stirring process. 7 minutes stir time. Clear with hardly any bubbles low Oder. Will buy again!

This has the best shelf life for what it is, and I’ve had no problems with excessive bubbles (even without a vacuum chamber). It takes a couple days to fully cure, so it requires some patience, but the results are worth it!
