These are by far the most comfortable and versatile that I have found.
I am very pleased with the Black Mountain Variety Pack of Spring-Loaded Thumb Picks! As a guitarist for over 20 years, I’ve tried various thumb picks. These are by far the most comfortable and versatile that I have found. The variety pack offers an excellent range of sizes and tensions, making it easy to find the perfect pick for my playing style. The spring-loaded design is key, ensuring a secure fit without being too tight, and the picks stay comfortably in place during long playing sessions. I no longer have to worry about my thumb pick slipping or adjusting mid-song, which is such a relief. The added flexibility also gives me better control and a more natural feel when picking. The quality is top-notch. These thumb picks are durable and made from premium materials, so I know they’ll hold up even with frequent use. The different sizes and tensions in the variety pack allow for customization based on the music I’m playing, whether I need a light touch for delicate strumming or more pressure for a heavier picking style. The comfort and performance of these picks have really helped improve my overall playing experience. I highly recommend them to any guitarist—whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, these picks will enhance your playing and offer lasting comfort.

OMG! BEST BANJO THUMB PICK EVER!
I've been playing banjo since 1994. I've tried about every flavor of thumb pick around. Invariably they are a little uncomfortable, or they squeak on the strings. I've had luck modifying picks in the past using heat, files, sandpaper, and solvents (even gun oil on a metal pick). But for all the fooling around, the plastic picks eventually break, or I loose a metal pick. I tried these Black Mountain picks on a whim. I had low expectations because I have high standards for a pick. OMG the Black Mountain pick JUST WORKED out of the box. No sanding, no fitting, no fooling around. I did try the four picks in this package until I found the one that I liked best (and that was a hard choice because I liked 3 of the four quite well). I jammed with the black-on-black variant for hours. No pain, never slipped, no string squeak! Are you serious? After, 150 years of finger picking someone finally created the freaking perfect thumb pick! While I would have wished this had come from some kin in Alabama or maybe the Sierras, it looks like the winner was a Canadian in Vancouver BC. After bit of research, I heard one of the bits (maybe a spring) was made in Chicago. I might not have these details exactly right, but I LOVE that this was created in North America and built in North America. Good ideas are hard to come by and I'll take one from my Canadian brethren with the same gratitude I would from my backwoods uncle!Lastly, in the little information sheet that comes with these, the creators suggest, "In order for a thumb pick to feel natural you should expect to play with it for at least fifty hours." I'm guessing that's for people that haven't ever used a thumb pick (maybe for guitar players)? Because I'll tell you, after about 45 seconds, I was wailing on my 5-string like I'd owned that pick for years.Black Mountain - Y'all expect another order for a passel of these from me, 'cus I'm buying enough of these to last me for the rest of my life! Hands down this is the best thumb pick I've ever owned!

This will take (me) awhile
Its a great idea, for me its awkward to use, but better than a regular thumb pick. These are more comfortable. I probably won't use them much.

Amazing Product for Beginners on Up!!
I am a self-taught guitarist with some formal music education in other instruments, and I have been playing for roughly two decades. I recently chose to go through some proper tutelage, and my form and technique were, and I quote, "dreadful." 🤣 I came across this company when I purchased their Slide Ring, which I use nearly everyday, and decided to give these thumbpicks a shot as my mentor uses them. They are brilliant.I'm basically relearning everything with my playing style, and hybrid picking was on my list to explore. Developing different muscle memory for something I've done nearly half my life has proved difficult, but once I slid one of these on, "dreadful" went to "vastly improved" immediately. Highly recommend the variety pack so you can find just the right one, and I believe nearly any guitarist of any experience level will appreciate them! Impressive quality, they create such a warm, distinct tone, and the spring-action makes concern over fit vanish. I'm extremely happy with every purchase I've made with these guys, and while I hope for more vast improvement over my previously dreadful technique, I have one less piece of equipment to blame that on! 🤣

Game changer once you get used to them.
Game changer. These are very comfortable to wear and don't slip. They stay closer to the tip of your thumb giving more control. The assortment pack is great, as you can choose the pick that suits you best. I will personally be using all 4 between banjo, dobro, Mandolin and guitar. Great for both pickin and strummin. Pricey, but we'll worth the cost.

Item received does not match item listed!
The item I received does not match the item listed. I did receive 4 thumb picks however the picture shows 4 different colors and I received 4 black. They are different thicknesses but you can't tell the difference by sight. Which means you have to sort through each pick by feel to find the one you want to use. They are very nice picks and do stay on your thumb just wish they were as pictured since I paid $26 for them.

I'm hooked
I love these pics. The variety pack was the perfect purchase. Every pick in it comes in handy for the style of playing you do. The fit is perfect for my large thumb and the pick length is much shorter than a dunlop for instance. It allows me to keep the thumb down low and that is a plus in my book.
