Is this machine washable?

Yes it is but you air dry☀️ do not try drying it on the dryer

On the instructions that came with warmer, it states that tortillas should be placed inside AS packaged....does that mean in the plastic bag they come

No! Take them out of the plastic bag, separate them and then put them in a bundle into the tortilla warmer. You separate them first so they aren’t stuck together.

Can you use it in the microwave?

Works great in the microwave. Keeps it heated for over 30-40 minutes. I couldn’t believe it. Holds the heat and made my tortillas soft just like cooking on the stove but much more convenient. I use to store the tortillas in clay bowls but this is better I think. Be careful though they hold steam and heat. So when you take the tortillas out they may be hot to the touch. Hope this helps.

How long does it take to microwave tortillas in this?

Hello, It depends on the ammount of tortillas, but the average is 20 seconds. Never heat them more than 1 minute as it could permanently damage the warmer and it is not necessary. They will last warm for at least 1 hour.
