Halva Finnish Sugar Free Licorice 90g x 1

Delightful. I have bought many sugar fee items which were either a poor substitute for the sugar loaded product I would have preferred were I not diabetic. I have also bought sugar free jellies and butter and boiled sweets so loaded with artificial sweeteners that have a laxative effect, that just half a dozen rendered me not just on the porcelain but feeling deeply unwell.These are not that. They are awesome. Do still be sensible (even with normal licorice) but I shall buy these again and again.

Not much licorice flavour sadly

Anyone who spends time in Finland is likely to develop a taste for Finnish liquorice, however as a diabetic, sugar free versions are hard to find.This one tastes just right.

This was sold as soft licorice, it isn’t, it’s a hard licorice - more the consistency of a wine gum than a jelly babyFlavour is ok, not as strong as a soft licorice would be, but still thereIt’s difficult enough to find a sugar free licorice, so even more disappointing

I was hoping these were going to be the delicious soft liquorice you can get but nope, these are 90g of solid hard black liquorice like you get in liquorice allsorts (you know the ones you leave), sweetened with 'laxative effect' bloating Maltitol for £5. The laxative effect is after 'excessive consumption' - doesn't say what that is, but only a few caused bloating- a common side effect with these kind of sweeteners. Even if sweetened with my preferred sucralose I'd still give them a pass.

I'd love to get these regularly but they are WAY TOO expensiveShame
