⸻ I’ve been using the Smatree Heavy Duty Gaming Laptop Case for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its quality and durability. The hard shell design provides excellent protection for my laptop, and I feel confident carrying it around without worrying about bumps or scratches. Shipped fast. Item is as described. Purchase this to protect my laptop. I was surprised to find out how sturdy it actually is. My laptop fits snug as a big in a rug. The separation of the compartments is a nice design and keeps the laptop safe from scratches due to pens, charger, memory cards etc., as those fit nice in the side compartment. It's professional looking, but most of all it's solid. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this specifically for flying. I normally carry a large backpack and wanted to be able to use my computer easily on the plane without having to go through the process of taking ALL of my stuff out as I get settled into my seat. I wanted a hard shell design so it could withstand a beating in protecting my $3,500 Dell XPS 17 (9720). It also needed to be large enough to carry an xbox controller, power brick, Logitech MX Master 3S Mouse, and a portable laptop stand. I'm able to fit all that in this bag with very little room to spare. I do feel confident that the contents within the bag can withstand a fall from hip-level height (I'm 6 feet tall) but maybe not much more. The included strap is basic, not super comfortable. I bought a replacement strap on Amazon (I just searched "most comfortable replacement bag strap" and the first few results will provide you with a MUCH better replacement). All-in-all, I do recommend this bag. It looks professional, feels durable, minimalist while offering sufficient space for your computer accessories on the go.

My son loves it, but unfortunately I have to find the pics I took. He moved further out so I never got to see him use it. Seemed very good quality. He still has it today and is using it.

Excellent product

Expensive. Never heard of Smatree, but it seems they're a viable brand with good products. Clean lines and apparently well made, with nice features, including the outside pocket which can handle a power supply, mouse, HDD, reading glasses, and cables. It has a braced lid hinge that stays open and doesn't fall away, and the clam shell design allows one to work in the case itself. This one seems somewhat sturdy, but I'm sure the zippers will ultimately fail at the corners where it zips around them. They're stiff on the corner turns. I have a 15" Thule case similar to this that ultimately DID fail where the zippers had to make the turns at the corners, but only after about six years of hard use. As an aside, the Thule case DID fit the 16" Mack Book as a test, and it squeezed close, but so tightly it deformed the case, making it useless. This is why I went with this Smatree instead of replacing the bad zippered Thule, a case I did like. One thing: this DEFINITELY does has plenty of room for a Mac Book Pro 16, even withmy military grade hard case cover on the laptop itself. Internal dimensions are at least an inch wider and an inch deeper. Room to set the Magsafe in place while in the case, with one right angle USB-C connector on the left, but NOT room for both the Magsafe on one side AND USB-C device cables on the opposite side. To insert cables into both the left and right side, you have to take it out of the case. Still, apparently bigger inside than most of the others out there unless you go with a huge 17" version. Bottom line for now: If you want a work in case for a 16" laptop, you're limited from the get go, so no low budget opportunities or used but like-new eBay examples at half price. If you own a 16" Mac Book this seems to be the only work in option that makes sense.
