I have waited a couple months before writing a review to see how well this brush has held up. I am happy to say that even after months of use, only two small bristles have come out and the brush is functioning very well. I am a female with medium length, fine hair with a medium volume and I purchased this beard brush because I wanted a travel sized boar bristle brush for my hair, as I do not have a beard. I switch over from using shampoo to baking soda & water (and occasionally a soap nut solution) and I was looking for a boar bristle brush because I read that it is better for managing no-poo (no shampoo) hair. I like this brush much better than my old nylon hairbrush. The craftsmanship is very nice and the handle feels comfortable to hold. If anyone is also shopping for this beard brush to use for your long hair, you just need to note that because it is small and meant for beards, you will have to brush your hair in sections. If you have very thick hair, it will take more work to use this brush (although maybe if I hadn’t gotten the smallest size, it might be a different experience). I bought the soft one, but if I were to do it all over again, I would have gotten one with firmer bristles. However, this one feels great as it goes across your scalp. It removes anything on the hair, from bits of dandruff to towel fibers. I would recommend purchasing a brush cleaning kit (with the little brushes) as it needs to be cleaned fairly frequently, since it picks everything off your hair. It is very easy to clean and if there is any buildup on the bristles, I just use a little soap & water and it’s like new.I should also add that as a beard brush, it also works very well. My husband has a beard and he says it feels nice as he brushes it across his beard. He never brushed his beard before I bought this brush, but the brush definitely makes his beard look nicer. It is nice that we can share one brush for multiple uses and just clean it in between. I would definitely recommend the ZilberHaar beard brush as a high quality, sustainable choice that is made in Germany. The packaging was also plastic-free. It seems like it will last a long time and I’m very happy with my purchase. It was worth the price.

For a shorter beard this brush is perfect! It's soft enough not to scratch and also stiff enough to straighten out the beard for a nice, groomed look. It's small enough to fit into just about anything making it easy to carry it with you. All around a very nice brush!If you have a longer beard, then this brush will not work for you. I have a stiffer one for when I grow mine out that works for that purpose.

I've had a beard for about 10 years and it never even occurred to me that a designated beard brush might be a good investment. I only started getting into beard products in the past 2 years. I've been using beard balms and more recently some mustache wax to add a little more definition. I came across this beard brush by accident on a review site and decided to give it a try. One of the best purchases in recent memory.When it first arrived I thought perhaps they'd sent me something else by accident. It arrived in a box scarcely larger than a box my wife's mascara comes in. Upon opening it I found a little brush. It was smaller than I expected it to be, but it turns out it's the perfect size. Any bigger and it would be difficult to use on my mustache.The past few years, I've been noticing some dandruff in my beard, particularly through the dry months of winter. I had hoped the beard ointments would cure it, and they helped, but not completely. Since I've started using this brush, however, I haven't noticed a single flake. This brush really helps to evenly distribute any beard products and to get it right down to your skin.I had used cheap plastic combs before on my beard, but this is a major upgrade. Knowing what I know now, I can't believe I've had a beard for ten years before I discovered this. I can at least hope to use this for the next several decades. And I honestly think this brush will last that length and then some. It appears extremely well made. I can't tell if it has real boar hair bristles, but whatever they are I think they are quality and will last.I'll update down the road and note any issues, but as of now I couldn't be more pleased.

This little brush is the best of all the beard brushes I’ve used. Key Points:1) It’s small. I noticed reviewers complain about this but just read the description. This is for your beard, not King Kong’s back. It’s the perfect size for a beard of average size.2) The bristles are uneven for a reason. In order to exfoliate the skin, this is important. Too many beard brushes neglect this. Sure you want to spread the beard oil and sebum but healthy skin promotes healthy beard hair.3) It is made of first cut boars hair meaning it’s very firm. Don’t brush your beard for too long and don’t apply a lot of pressure when brushing. Firm hair is needed to get underneath the beard to your skin.4) The bristles are boar’s hair, not plastic. If you burn them, it will smell like burnt hair, not burnt plastic.5) If used properly, this will give you healthy beard hair which, in turn, will make your beard very soft.6) Thier customer service is second to none. If you have an issue, they will help you out.I can’t recommend this tool more highly. It is well built and made to last. In fact, if you sign up for their emails, they will extend the warranty for 20 years. If I. Had to be picky and have a complaint, the pear wood (the handle) has a matte finish and it would look nicer, in my opinion, if it had a glossy finish. However, that is minor and purely cosmetic and does nothing to affect the functionality of the brush. This product may be the best beard grooming tool in my arsenal.
