Delivery and Packaging: The product was delivery in two days promptly. Good thing about amazon is that they have their amazon courier service and the mobile number of the courier guy is given by amazon as soon as it is out for delivery. Packaging is a regular type from amazon, a kinda folded cardboard over the sealed product. As such the soldering iron comes packed in a plastic mould sealed with thick printed paper in stanley colors and brand. The contents of the package are the Soldering Iron itself, One additional tip of different type(other than the one fixed to the iron, pointed and chisled tips) and two stands. The product comes with a one year warranty. Product description and performance: The build quality of the product is decent, in black and chrome, looks professional. the handle is sturdy and the chorme heating part and the bit are build to quality. The cord is about a meter in length with a two pin plug, taking an input of 220-240V AC. This is a little disappointment though. I wonder why a three pin socket with earth wire is not used. After all Stanley is a name brand. The wire is deecntly insulated with the ratings marked on the wire, however its not doubly insulated, to omit the body grounding. The plug (two pin) however doesnt give a good impression. Looks a little cheapy, only the plug. I did not find the brand name stanley engraved either on the handle or on the chrome heater part. Ofcourse the handle has a sticker label with stanley name and 220V / 30W rating and model number on it. But its a Sticker. This product is made in Taiwan and imported by stanley black&decker india as per the description given. Also it would be a little disappointment to see that a strain relief has not been provided for the wire coming out of the handle. It should have been to meet good design requirements. The two tips that come with the soldering iron are pointed and a flat chiseled one. The Tips are easy to fit and remove from the iron. They are threaded into the chorem of the body. very convenient to change and use. The two stands provided are kind of OK. They aer very thin by themselves and I doubt if they can take the weight of the iron(the soldeing iron is lite weight). They have two holes , I guess for fixing them to a block of wood or something. I fixed the stand to a 3x5 inch peice of ply wood and it look pretty good and pretty useful too. The soldering iron took just about 2 min to get to the temperature, enough to melt the solder(tin/lead 60/40 rosin wire -guage 18) and the tip tinned niecly. The pointed tip is not too pointed to puncture the skin but the point can be felt. That should be good enough. I got this for INR 199 + INR 50 for delivery. so totally INR 249 home delivered. I am happy with the product for the cost price. Pros: Name Brand Stanley Package comes with two stands and two decent tips. Heats up in just 2 mins. Sturdy handle. Tips are threaded so easy to put and remove. Looks nice. Cons: Brand name is just stickered on to the handle not engraved. So genuine??? The cord is just two wires and two pin plug. Earthing wire not there. The two pin plug looks little cheapy. No Strain Relief provided for the cable. I did not do the teardown yet. So cant comment on the internals. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Its recommended, not for professional us. But for personal Home use and DIY stuff and all household repairs etc.. not for heavy duty professional usage.

For a hobbyist like me, its a perfect product, gets heat up pretty quickly, doesn't leave a lot of smoke , easy to use, can be used for a longer period of time without any worries, wire length is enough, its money well spent, I have been using it for quite some time now, and satisfied using it.
