The wall and handle thickness is heavier on these mugs than on other ceramic campfire mugs. The glazing is also thicker and more evenly applied. They’re simply more rugged. When you first pick one up it feels too heavy. That sentiment goes away in using it. The weight works.There is a symbiotic relationship between the ritual of one’s first coffee (or tea, or matcha) in the morning and the mug one uses.I didn’t fully appreciate how pleasant these mugs are for that ritual until I actually used it. It simply feels right—like sitting by the fire on a cold winter morning in a cabin in the mountains with a blizzard outside, this mug in hand, the coffee steaming.Heat retention is decent. After 30 minutes, the liquid temperature drops by only about 40 percent. A double walled stainless cup with the same liquid volume will be about 10 degrees warmer over 30 minutes. This is good heat retention for a ceramic mug.The forest green mug is a rich evergreen with small white speckles.The sky blue mug is slightly lighter and less saturated in color than the image on Amazon. It’s more a grayish blue with larger white speckles.The plum mug is an exact plum color—purple with a bit of burgundy and white speckles.All in all, these mugs have that intangible quality of je ne sais quoi. I haven’t felt that with any of the numerous other campfire mugs I’ve used over the years.

Very nice quality. Nice and heavy. My only concern is if you have thicker fingers you will only be able to fit two or almost a a little of a third into the handle.

This mug made my coffee taste so good this morning. It hit different. It will make you want to do a happy dance like David Venable on QVC when you drink your favorite hot beverage from this mug. The small business who owns this brand also stands by their product. Feels and looks like a quality mug. I took a second chance ordering this product because the first time I ordered never received product because something happened in shipping, so I was automatically refunded. Glad I decided to reorder 3 months later. This is now my favorite mug. It is amazing how a quality mug can make a difference in the taste of a hot beverage.

I just started using this mug. I bought it to use as a shaving mug for puck soap. I have been a double edge razor user for many years. They were not well designed for use in a sink. Too large and took up a lot of space in a sink. They moved too easily. This mug fills the bill. Compact but holds a puck of shaving soap very well. Heavy enough to be stable in my bathroom sink. It is attractive and durable. After going through many alternative shaving puck holders this is a keeper.
