Worked great.
Put this on when replacing the water pump on a 2005 chevy silverado 2500 6.0 gas motor. The part went on easy and fit perfect. So far all is good.Update. Now December 2024 and all is good.Update. Now march 2025 and all is good. 😁

Great price with great value and great quality.
185 degree thermostat backed by Gates long history of making quality OEM replacement parts. The thermostat has to be 185 degrees or higher for smog parts to correctly burn off CO or HCO. If you install a Hypertech PP III than you can install a 160 degree thermostat. Remember to change your thermostat every 5 to 8 years or 50,000 miles to ensure proper working order.

Replaced original of 22 years old. We will see if we can get at least half that out of this. 2002 Silverado 5.3 (lm7).

Pairs well with the gates water pump. Just screw it in and you’re good to go. Comes with two different gaskets. Great value too.

Good buy!
Installed great for my 02 Chevy Tahoe. Only problem was the original radiator hose that connect to it was a little to big so I had to order a new constant tension clamp for it so it didn't leak.
