I'm using this 50 ft. Optimal Shop 4K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable to connect my laptop to my smart television that is across the room. The cable route from my laptop to the television is longer than what a standard wired HDMI cable can span without some signal quality loss. I wanted full definition 4K delivered to the television.I ordered this cable because, using light fiber transmission, there should be no signal degradation. The video quality carried to the television across this cable is stunning - vivid and rich colors, sharp color contrast boundaries, excellent contrast ratio, no artifacting or stuttering on high bandwidth fast action scenes, and uncompromised high quality audio.Note that this cable has a "Source" end and a "Display" end. It won't work if connected backwards. Both ends are clearly marked on the HDMI connectors.As a broadcast engineer, I'm picky about video and audio quality. This 4K Fiber Optic HDMI cable gets my stamp of approval (five stars). For the price, it is an excellent value. It will be an optimal choice for routing video content to a projector or large display in your home theatre where long cable runs can compromise video quality. Overall, I'm very pleased with this cable.

There are many, many fake HDMI 2.0 cables on this site. I think most people don't use modes that require them and the companies get away with it. You only find out when you start using HDR with high resolution and frame rates and find that it does not work. This cable, as far as I can tell, does what it is supposed to do. The quality is nice, though it does not have a lot of shielding for a long cable. The good side of that is that it is easy to work with and compact. The connectors are nice. I will update this review if I have issues, but until then I can recommend it.

A leading-edge quality cable that works great.I have to admit, although I've always been a video gadget guy, I'm not up on the latest technology that makes this a directional cable (meaning you have to pay attention to which end is plugged into the source and which is plugged into the display - reverse it and it doesn't work.)

It works well, good speed and quality of data, so no, or almost no signal loss.Is it really fiber inside? It is possible, unlikely but possible.
