I have singular brushes that are 3 to 4 times as expensive, trying to find something that will hold a sturdy point and retain water. The quality and care shown in the craftsmanship is hard to come by. These are wildly under rated. They are beautiful to display as decoration and function better than many of my expensive overrated round brushes and quills. I'm very excited and grateful to the maker for making these son accessible. Not only are they fantastic brushes but they cojme with an adorable roll up and a practice mat that I will use time and time again to perfect my stroke. Thank you thank you thank you, for being a true diamond in the rough.

I got these for a class that was working in watercolor. These would be five stars if they didn’t have a lot of loose hairs that would get stuck in my paintings. The smaller brushes don’t have as mush loose hair and luckily those are the ones I use the most but if your getting this pack mostly for the larger brushes I would maybe look somewhere else. But if you don’t mind the occasional loose hairs, these are good beginners brushes with a variety of sizes.

I love the selection of brushes and the roll! The brushes all washed up well with a good brush soap and hold quite a bit of water. All but the largest brush came with a cap and the hairs protected that needs to be removed. A few hairs came out with the initial cleaning but are fine now. Recommended!

I bought these for an art activity with 4th graders doing Chinese brush painting. They worked out great and washed out very nicely. This came with a lot of brushes and different sizes.

Bought these to add to my brush collection for acrylics, watercolor, and ink paintings. I’ve used about 3 of them and they all lose hairs on your work- especially the big one! So have your tweezers handy lol. But if you’re just practicing your art, it does the job. For any important artwork, definitely do not use as it can ruin to ur work. Maybe the manufacturer can add more adhesive to the hairs so they don’t come out so easily?

The media could not be loaded. 35 years of experience as a professional artist, these brushes will be great for soaks, probably slip or underglaze painting on pottery, watercolor if desired. Cool practicing Matt, bamboo barrels, glued-in tips.

I did not buy these for calligraphy, I bought them for watercolor because I prefer this style of brush, I was a little apprehensive since there were no reviews but decided to take a risk and I am glad I did since they are really enjoyable to use. They hold a point very well, hold lots of water, and give me more control of where the paint goes than using my western style brushes. I painted the attached piece using the rat whisker brush which I believe is rabbit hair and found using it to be delightful. I didn't notice much shedding, a few hairs here and there but no difference from my sable or squirrel hair rounds, and it holds its point after hours of use.
