I needed a way to loower my atamos V into my sight line. This is perfect, especially as it can be mounted on a nato rail built into the camera cage.

This isn't bad once you figure out where to mount it.It has an included nato rail which is thin, reverseable even but quite short just big enough for the articulated arm.I have this now mounted on my BMPCC original but it was a struggle. The nato rail was too wide to go vertically on the side of my cage without interfering with the micro hdmi port and microphone port the hdmi port naturally is going to the monitor this is going to carry and I want to jam sync timecode on the camera audio so I need both these ports.In the end i used a long nato rail to fix horizontally at the top left side of my cage, it covers the lanc port and the headphone port but these are not needed so much. The supplied nato rail i tried to use with my monitor cage on top in the middle top of my cage is a useless cold shoe , the nato rail is too short to bridge this so has to be offset to the side.However with my longer nato rail I was able to mount the arm and position my 5" monitor the portkeys pt6its a very light 130g without a battery and the evf arm was able to support in most positions. Its a bit of a pain adjusting the levers on the joints so they dont get in the way. It's a pretty tight fit getting past my mattebox but above and below th matte box was fine. also towards the rear. even sideways.You might find it a bit close for a monitor on a shoulder rig, im getting old so i need readers (glasses if the monitor is too near should work out pretty well if you have an evf. Depending on your set up you may want to offset the arm a little away from the camera body.After playing around with it, i think its good enough to stay part of my rig. It was a tad frustrating at first to be fair. I quite like it though.

So let’s be honest, this is part of SmallRig design program, where users suggest a design for their needs and if it gets the support SmallRig make it.This unfortunately did not work for me, the mount extended to far (even at its shortest extension) that the matte box got in the way. It will only support a 5 inch monitor and it is over complicated in it’s adjustments, meaning it takes too much time to get it right.The build quality is typical SmallRig and is superb, no complaints.The cost is in the premium range, which is too much if the mount doesn’t do everything you want it to.So to sum up, if you need a monitor mount that achieves what this was designed for, this is is perfect. But if like me it doesn’t, then it’s over priced and had to be sent back.

Après des jours sur le net à la recheche d'un support pour mon moniteur 7 pouces enfin.le graal ! Beaucoup de mal quand même à en trouver dommage qu'il n'y ai que pour des stabilisateurs !Certes un peu cher mais il en vaut le coup. Très facile à installer, robuste, le moniteur de bouge pas et on peut facilement l'incliner dans tous les sens et même l 'éloigner grâce au bras d'extension ! Vraiment je recommande.Juste un conseil, penser à acheter un 2e rail nato si vous n'en avez pas déjà ! Il y en a 1 fourni avec que j'ai mis sur mon moniteur et j'ai racheté le même pour ma cage tilta de mon Sony.
