Being caught without one on-hand is not a comforting thought having experienced it first-hand.Be aware that CPR does not guarantee a patient's survival from a cardiac arrest, heart attack or stroke but immediately administering CPR with this mask or without (mouth-to-mouth is a personal decision and dependent first and foremost on personal safety based on the patient's condition - drugs, hygiene, etc.) gives the patient a 'breathing'/fighting chance and allows first responders to arrive on-scene to take over.
