Cushioning and responsiveness come together in a modern featherweight frame. Featuring the smooth ride Midsole, crafted by combining U4icX and U4ic in a dual compound, the Wave rider 23 Wave knit springs into action the moment you put your foot down. The knitted upper combines a natural fit with sleek design, while working with the Mizuno Wave cushioning to provide ultimate comfort and dynamic response. This neutral favorite works best for a neutral runner or a runner who underpronates. Any previous lover of the Wave rider series will love the knit version which moves with your foot like other knit running shoe out there. For those interested in the updates between the first Wave rider 22 knit and Wave rider 23 Wave knit, Mizuno has simply updated the upper for a better more sock like fit. New eyelets allow you to secure the knit better around your foot.

Perfect for a Picky Consumer!
This is my first pair of Mizuno shoes. After having used thw shoe for 4 months, I wanted to share my experience with it. I have wider feet and very very few shoes really fit me well. Most normal width shoes are too narrow and wide shoes leave a lot of gap and don't fit well. This one in "Wide" or "2E" is perfect! I primarily bought it for running and have been using it for running outdoors (concrete) during fall and winter (typical temperature 20-30 F). With a decent pair of socks, my feet don't feel cold at all. Best part is, it's super comfortable. Started using it for workouts in fitness center and just love it!The quality seems and feels good, looks very neutral (exactly what I want). Not sure how long it'll last (I'm a casual runner), but these are the best pair of running/workout shoes I've ever owned. As long as the manufacturer continues to build them with the same comfort/quality, I'll continue to buy them in the future as well.

Wave Riders a solid, neutral running shoe
As a runner, I've developed a fondness for a few different brands and models of cushion, neutral shoes. Wave Riders is one of the five (5) Brand/Model of shoes I go back to again and again. Mizuno Wave Riders have been fairly consistent, to me, from model to model. By "consistent" I mean consistently good. Some brands make a great model and then come out with an updated model that feels and fits completely different from the previous model. I have not experienced that issue with the Wave Riders. This model has a 12mm drop, meaning it has some extra cushioning under the heel which, if you tend to be a heal striker, is very nice. They have plenty of cushion but still give me a good feel for the road. The knit uppers hold my foot well without feeling like they are pinching across the instep. These compare well with other mid to upper tier cushioned shoes from Brooks, Asics, and Hoka..

Love Mizunos
Normally Wave Riders get a 5 start from me. They are durable running shoes. I have used Mizuno running shoes for about 20 years. These have a comfortable fit and feel great. The one thing I noticed right away was the heel was not as firm as other models I have used. The “wave” plate looks to be shorter / thinner on the aft section, and replaced with the foam sole. It makes the heel much softer (I loved the very firm heel). Sill a good shoe and fit is on point.

10k PB first run
I bought these to try out a new brand. I am a big time Brooks fan and was skeptical about trying a new brand, but these shoes were rated highly for neutral runners, so I thought I'd give them a go. I have had some less than exciting experiences in running shoes by straying from Brooks, so I haven't strayed until now. These shoes are just as nice as the Brooks Ghost line of shoes. The support feels very comparable and the way they feel when running. I pulled them on and got a PB 10k the first time I wore them. It was a normal try for a PB, so I may have done it in another pair of shoes too, but I can't know that, I know I ran a PB in these. I'm very happy with these and will probably keep a pair of these in my running arsenal.

So cozy!!!
I LOVE THESE SNEAKERS!!! Lots of room in the toe box, no hard binders on the toes either, the cushion feels like angel whispers on my feet! Btw, I buy mens shoes bc they are usually less expensive than women's AND the toe box has more wiggle room. Usually I wear a womans 8.5 US or 39-40 EUR.This shoe is the reason i have worn and bought Mizuno trainers for over a decade.

High Arch, No Shin Splints
Im an avid runner and always had issues with running shoes giving me shin splints for the first month, but not these guys. I have a high arch and after doing my research(witch you should do also) i realized asix and brooks are primarily for flat footed ppl. So went with this Japanese company (shoes are made in Vietnam). You see the shape of the shoe and the break in the middle kinda where your arch is? Well thats how you know what kind of shoes to buy. Im still adjusting but the first mile always feels springy. Running 8.5 miles on the track with no problems. Shoes feel light and high off the ground. Cant say anything about the quality as i only had them for a month at the time of this review and tbh the material quality looks crappy. 5 stars for no shin splints though!

Great Shoe for All Distances
I like the Waveknit 23. I bought the regular Waverider 22 last year. It was a fantastic shoe with a lot of cushion and comfort for any distance run. As a 6’0” 215ish pound guy I got about 350 miles on them until I started to feel the impact. Instead of getting the Waverider 23 I went with the Wave knit. The fabric gives a good bit more flexibility without your foot feeing like it’s moving around. Much more breathability during the long distance runs. The cushioning and build looks the same so I would expect the same mileage to hold true in this shoe. For the price, I would recommend this over any other shoe brand. Even at full price it would be worth it. If you can get it for less than $100 then you should pull the trigger.
