I love this thing. I installed it above the door frame in my closet. The hole spacing isn't 16", so it's not set up to mount directly to studs. I'd recommend grabbing a piece of plywood, mount that securely to the wall, then mount this to the plywood. I mostly use the "easy" rung for pull-ups and such. The smaller rungs are very challenging, but have a good grip and won't hurt your hands with splinters (my record for the 15mm rung is about 5 seconds... working on it.)

Could've been longer. It was 20 inches with 18 inch hole spacing. For some reason my wall had weird spacing but it was easy to drill a few extra holes. I wish it was maybe 26 inches but it will get the job done! Happy overall.
