Great for a small fire
These pieces are great for starting a small fire. Each piece is about 6 inches long. Wood is clean and dry and burns kind of fast.

Back Again & Much Better!
I left a not-so-great review earlier and the company asked me to give 'em another try, so I did, and this time they delivered as promised and then some. The oak wood was just as advertised, all solid pieces, and solidly boxed and delivered on time. This small "log" size is perfect for our solo stove, and being oak, it will give a long-lasting burn. We will be back for more. Quality control is important and appreciated by this customer.

Overrated
It's uniform in size yes, it smells good yes, BUT it burns too quickly and it gives off too much smoke. Oh and the price, holy smokes it is expensive (pun intended). Look elsewhere for a better product. The customer service is great so I'll give them that.

Uniformly Cut
The media could not be loaded. Love Old Potters. I’m in Texas and winters here aren’t long but when they hit, they can hit hard. Logically electric bill spikes so I started looking into using my fireplace to cut back on running the heater. Best. Choice. Ever! The wood is just fantastic. Pricey, yes but I like that the pieces are mostly uniformly cut (eg not a few good pieces and the rest just kindling). I like to log cabin layer between large logs I get from HEB. Smells divine and helps the fire last.

Neither the wood nor the box contain any indication that it is USDA approved.
This does NOT come with a USDA certificate saying the wood is APHIS approved, although the website SAYS it is USDA approved. The whole time I was using it I was afraid a ranger would come along and pounce on me for not having USDA approved wood. Not even the shipping and packing materials indicated it was USDA approved. It was also very pricey compared to other wood I got locally that actually carried the APHIS certificate.
