Great mold and good version of it.
This a a good mold and much better looking then the Kingdom version. The newer release I feel has better coloring but I would not rebuy it just for that. Looks great when paired with the throne that came with the studio 86 Starscream.

Very good figure
Bought as a gift. Recipient loved it. Paired up well with his new Legacy Trypticon.

Overall awesome figure.
Amazing figure. Great quality. Articulation is good. No kibble in robot mode. One of my favorite transformer toys in my collection. Obviously, this is not a 1:1 color accurate model compared to the G1 galvatron, however it is still a great representation of him. Compared to some of the toys from the other transformers media, the quality on this is A LOT better. If you’re looking for an overall 10/10 figure, I’d buy this.

Good value
Looks very similar to the 1987 movie version, sturdy and very poseabl, great figure for the price and it arrived on time.

I have mixed feelings about this...
So, I uploaded several pictures for context. One with the Leader Class Starscream, and two others that are just Galvatron. As you can see, this Galvatron is noticeably taller than the Starscream figure but not excessively larger. I believe they are labeled as being close or possibly the same height, but really are not. I like the Starscreen MUCH more than this model but will be keeping this Galvatron despite my complaints below. My biggest negatives about this figure are1. He is colored purple where he should be more blue, this seems to be common and I know there is all sorts of versions of the character, BUT I consider the movie to be what I care about. FYI, there is a website post that talks EXTENSIVELY about the color variations in the cartoons and the figures that is a great read!2. His face does not look like the 1986 Movie version of the character. Its similar, but too slender. If you look at the pictures from the movie, his head clearly fills the helmet where this figure does not from the cheeks down.3. The orange blaster/gun is ridiculously sized on this figure. I included a picture where the gun can be seen. Admittedly, the gun changes size some throughout the movie, but this version is silly compared to ALL variations. I assume this is to make it appropriately sized when he is in turret mode. BUT they should have just included two of them to swap out depending on mode. :facepalm:4. The tank treads on his arms are also ridiculous in robot mode. I haven't transformed the figure yet, because I mostly only care about the robot mode, but will at some point. They are ALMOST not there in the movie, but do show up even though they aren't obviously tank treads, just colored blocks.5. The hands are cheap and do not open/close at all, like the cheap toys of the 80s. Note - Starscreams hands aren't great either and look odd in almost all positions BUT they at least open/close.6. The right leg is loose and is only just barely tight enough that he will stand and not just immediately do a split. For over $30, this is a more than a little disappointing.7. I have never liked the shoulders on any of version of the figures of this character. I understand it is a compromise to make it work, but they just look bulbous being fully on the outside of the body as opposed to recessed into the characters shoulder/torso the way the cartoon movie showed it.Even with all of those negatives, it's a good (enough) representation of the character, or at least as good as seems to be available. I have considered trying to repaint it to the correct royal? blue type color but have my doubts about how well that would come out. I also have considered removing the tank treads to make the character look better in robot mode. It is generally accurate to the cartoon versions of the character even with several small details represented that are surprising especially considering it is the wrong color! Other than the leg/hip joint issue, it seems to be pretty well made and the packaging was very well put together so you can expect it to arrive intact, unless it is heavily abused. The ties are recyclable as is the carton which is a nice touch as well. The short version - it's got a lot of flaws, but you'll probably like it anyway. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. I'm really torn between 3 and 4 overall, but decided to be generous and give it 4.

Great update of the G1 TV version of Galvatron.
Hasbro has now released four different versions of the same figure. War for Cybertron: Kingdom, Generations Selects, Legacy and Studio Series. What's the difference?First, the War for Cybertron: Kingdom version came out first back in 2021. It had issues. The paint job was great except that it had the battle damage scars like all the War for Cybertron toys, which was very annoying for many toy collectors and found it an eyesore when they put it on display. Second, in some of the early toys from this toy, the shoulders had an issue as some were misassemled. The arms were lower than the correct version. It looked odd.The second version of Galavatron was the Generations Selects that also came out back in 2021. This version had the color scheme that paid homage to the original toy from the 1980s, as well as the comics. The Generation Selects fixed the shoulder problems that the original one had, and also there was no battle damage paint. The third version is the one I bought. This one not only is the fixed version but also removes the battle damage paint that was from the original toy. This version is based on the generation one TV series, where Galvatron is purple, not blueish in the movie. The fourth version is the studio series. The new Galvatron is based on the movie. His colors are blueish, unlike the TV series, in which his color is purple. But other parts of his body are slightly colored differently. The Generation Selects and Legacy are much cheaper than the Studio series. I bought this version for around $32. The Generation's Select version is $33 while the Studio series goes for $54. Why is the studio series more expensive than the other two? All Hasbro did was change the colors to make it more like the original movie. As far as the toy is concerned, it's great. It took me a while to figure out how to change the robot to cannon. I tend to ignore the instructions as I prefer to watch some vids. Afterward, I had no issues.Galvatron looks great. He comes with a few accessories: his orange ridiculously long side cannon, two small future ships that turn into a gun or combine with the vehicle cannon mode and the matrix of leadership that can wrap around his head. The side cannon looks too long for the toy, unlike the show and movie. The side cannon can be mounted on the upper arm, though it's loose on both sides but can be fixed with a little nail polish, you can post it close to his hand, or you can have him hold it in his fists. This toy, like many transformers, isn't durable. But like many toys, please take care of them. You can pose the figure in a variety of ways. Lots of articulation. In the end, I was very happy to buy it.

Great value
Even though this toy is the same mold as the kingdom and studio series 86 versions, I would definitely recommend this product. The accessories on this figure are very compatible with the figure and the coloration and articulation match the G1 design. For a leader class, this figure is a balance between complex and simple.
