The Tear Stick effect will last about 5-10 minutes, enough to cause tears to form and to keep them flowing. After 10 minutes, the menthol vapors will have mostly dissipated, so you will need to reapply the Tear Stick.

It last aprox 1-3 theater seasons or one years worth of horror movie acting. Expiration date Varies but usually needs replacement a year after being bought.

Is anyone else able to smell the menthol when its applied?

Yes, you can definitely smell it right after it’s applied (not as strong as Vicks though) Eventually the smell wears off slowly.

How fast does this work?

The hotter the environment or your skin, it works immediately. If you are outside during cold months or in a well air conditioned space, it needs about 2-5 minutes for the peppermint vapors to begin floating in front of your eyes.
