We got these to deter hawks away from our chickens. We filled them with play sand we had lying around, and even with the strong winds we have had, they stay put. They are kind of creepy looking, but for the past few months, they seem to have been doing a good job protecting our chickens.

Pretty tough with the rocks inside

Cute birds. Filled about half full of pebbles and they are steady enough. So far the sparrows nesting under my patio cover are not in the least impressed. I fully expect to find their droppings on the backs of my owls before too long. Maybe these things works sometimes, some places but they did not work this time at this place.

The owls are ok, the quality, the material, everything is ok with them.They just don't work to get rid of birds, they are just decoration.

These really work!We have had problems with a lot of bird droppings on our outdoor bamboo chairs and small cement patios. It was becoming a real pain trying to keep them clean.A neighbor told us she purchased these three fake owls from Amazon and that she saw a big difference in the amount of droppings she had to clean. So, we gave it a try.I want to tell you they work! I would say the amount of bird droppings has decreased by 90% !! There are still a few we have to clean but not anything compared to what it was before we purchased the decoy owls. We placed two of them on the floor of the back cement patio, and the other one in the front patio. From day one we could tell a difference.I suggest you put kitty litter, sand, or gravel in the owl to give it weight to stand.These decoy/fake owls have solved a problem for us and I definitely recommend them.
