It is small and compact and seems easy to use. I wish there was a way to test it, but don’t do what I did and try to push the black button. It works similar to a lancet and the button that is pushed into the window is where the spike comes out. I luckily didn’t push it hard before stopping to read the directions. Keep it away from children unless they are old enough to be trained to do it in an emergency. I cringe when I think about what could have happened to my thumb, but also I should have read the instructions before I messed with it. The only other concern is it seems difficult to get the blade cover off. I know that’s also a safety feature, but I couldn’t grab it well enough with my fingers. I will try putting the key ring on and seeing if the extra leverage helps. All in all it appears good quality, and I feel better having it if it’s ever needed.

I bought these after seeing how they can save your life if you get trapped! Hope we never have to use them!

One of the security officers where I work recommended these. I got the 3 pack (one for each car my infant daughter is transported in). I zip tied mine to the blinker handle for easy reach. Since its small, it doesn't interfere. The clip stays on, which might be a downfall. It took a little bit of force to release it if I should ever need it to cut my seatbelt. For the ~$6/ clip it is definitely worth it to have the peace of mind if we ever get stuck anywhere.
