This is perfect!
My elderly boy has DM (degenerative myelopathy) which causes him to gradually lose control of his hind quarters. He wears a front end lifting harness and a male diaper. I was able to use the lifting end of the strap to secure it to his front harness, so I can leave it on when he sleeps. Also there’s room to change his diaper under the rear lifting strap.

Did not work
My little 17 lb dog just recently was diagnosed with IVDD and has lost function in his rear legs. I was hoping this would help lift him to go to the bathroom. It was awkward to lift him and he screamed as if in pain. Later I found a little bruise on the inside of one of his hind leg. Turned out he screamed because it pinched him or rubbed him the wrong way. Not quite sure how it did that, but not willing to try again. Only tried it the one time with one attempted lift and it hurt him. Maybe it works better if the dog has more mobility in the hind legs, like the video shows, but my dog currently has no mobility in his hind legs and this device ended up being of no use to him.

Helpful
My 14 year old 48 pound male dog has definite mobility issues. It was essential that I have a rear harness that could easily be put on and did not have any material between the legs. Since my dog lies on his side and is a limp rag when I put the harness on, I have found this one to be more easily placed on and under him than other rear harnesses I have purchased. With the help of a chest harness also, I can then get him up and take him outside. The only suggestion that I have is to extend the protective tubing by at least two-three inches. No matter how I try to get the perfect location to protect my dog, it is never quite right - too far back then too far forward. So, I will wrap the leg bands with additional fleece to solve the issue. It just would have been nice for the protective tubes to more generous. Not all dogs stand up and graciously place there feet in the loops exactly where desired. I am still glad I bought this harness to help with a difficult situation.

Highly recommend for DM Corgis!
The media could not be loaded. We have a Corgi with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) that also has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). He has a cart, but with the issues that come with IBD, it can get a little messy. We opted to use a harness for trips outside and found this one to be the best one. His hip area has very little muscle tone left, so we had to take the foam off the leg harness in order for it to fit properly. We also have the legs tightened up as far as it will go because of his height. (Or lack of, haha) This harness has been a game changer for our life with DM. We use it for all of his potty trips outside and moving long distances in the house.

Good concept, but doesn’t work well as needed
I had ordered multiple different slings and halters for rear support for my dog with Degenerative Myelopathy. She became paralyzed in her hind legs because of her condition and needed help getting around the house and outside in the yard. Unfortunately, this one was not one of my favorites. It’s very simple to use and just slides up and over the dog’s rear end, but it didn’t offer much support for a 70+ pound dog. It also didn’t seem or look very comfortable as the straps kind of “dug into” her vulva and also got dirty when she defecated.

Easy to use but doesn't stay on
I can lift my large dog's back end very nicely, and it seems comfortable enough for him, but the product can easily slip off. I use it to get him in my car because he has a hard time using his back leg muscles to jump in. While in the car, it will slip off, so if I needed to use it to get him out of the car, I would have a hard time getting it back on. Luckily, he can exit the car unassisted. This product is less complicated to use than some of the rear harness systems which have several straps to adjust and can be confusing to get on the dog. I like the simplicity of it, but I wish there was a way to make it stay on the dog while in the car.

Worked great and keeps my back from hurting
My 19lbs Cavalier has a partial cruciate rupture and at 16 and a half needed support as her arthritis in hips and other knee wouldn't support her. I tried using a towel but bending over hurt my back. The leash is long enough to hold or loop around my hand and stand straight. The leg cushions her under her hips and isn't so big so stays clean. The harness is comfortable for her to squat with support.
