A joy to use
These work well and seem elegant in design and execution. They are a joy to use in that they work well and call no attention to themselves by introducing problems to the process on baking day. Recommended.

great for authentic bread!
Using these baskets for your final bread proofing ensures the top of the loaf comes out with the lovely concentric circles (as long as you aren't using the liner). I have only purchased one size, but plan on getting more for making baguettes and smaller rounds. They are pricey, but worth the expense. They should easily last for years and years.

nice product
I have only used it once making no knead bread, but the bread turned out really nicely. Would recommend it to others.

Great product, pricey but will last
Top notch banneton. Yea it is more expensive that other options that would probably work too, but the quality is superior. I own cheap ones as well and it’s just not the same. Only complaint is they don’t offer a 9” version.

Great for bread baking!
The shape and design held during the rising. The dough came out without any sticking, and the bread looked very presentable at the table. The Brotform is sturdy and well made. It came with an insert with a guide to how much dough will fill up how much of the form; that will be very helpful.

Really makes a difference in the bread
I bought this for my husband because he makes bread and kept going on about having the nice basket shape. I didn't realize it would make as much difference as it does to the texture of the crust and bread itself. It really helps to make my husband's bread super-delicious (and it was already very good!) I can't believe I'm admitting this, but definitely worth the money. Yay homemade bread! (When we serve it to our friends, they think we bought it at a local bakery!)

Glue smell, poor construction
Purchased this due to Ken Forkish recommendation in his book Flour Water Salt Yeast. Great book but Ken said it was the best and well worth the extra cost. Mine has small gaps made out of 5 pieces and has glue which you can see through the cracks and rusty staples. This is so overpriced there is no reason for such shoddy construction.I contacted the company and claimed that mine had to be a knock off that amazon was selling because theirs is such high quality. The rep from Frieling claimed theirs came in a cloth bag which the one from amazon did not. Eventually after communication through various mediums they agreed to send me a replacement. I got the replacements today and although sans the small gaps that the original one had they were exactly the same, rough wood, rusty staples made from multiple pieces. The shape was exactly the same and was not in a cloth bag. The cardboard tag in the bottom was also identical. Even the ones directly from Frieling would be worth maybe $8 at best. They look really cheaply made. I ordered another brotform from a different manufacture from amazon for $16 (Bake-Pro® Brotform 8.5'' Round BP-500) and the construction and look was very solid and beautiful with smooth wood. I know there is several good reviews for this but perhaps its just due to being recommended in a book people think its great ... $40 for rusty staples and glue! No thank you.
