What an incredible product
I work alone in my shop for 5-6 hours per day, just as a hobby. There are so many times that an extra hand would be very helpful, but in my case no one else is around. The jawhorse is a great substitute, and holds the work at the perfect height, and securely, so I can enjoy my hobby more. I would definitely put this in the "must have" category for most shop or woodworkers. They also got the operation of the jaw designed such that you can lock it in or unlock it with any level of pressure, to match the needs of the moment. Even working on something fragile, the jawhorse is a great addition. I'm very impressed with this product!

My favorite new tool.
This thing is awesome. It’s a heavy duty vise that can move to the project, instead of you traveling back and forth to your bench vise. I don’t have a work bench, so never had a good place to keep the vise I’ve always wanted. It collapses down very easy when I don’t need it and it’s just as easy to set up for when I do need it. Anything I clamp down in the jawhorse feels just as sturdy as if it were clamped down in a bolted down bench vise. When you compare the price to a good bench vise, the jawhorse feels like a steal.

Gets the Job Done
This jaw horse is a really great product. It is strong, sturdy and very functional. The design is very well thought out. Once you learn how to use it, set up and take down are a breeze. It has been invaluable helping me complete many DIY projects around the house. The weight is a bit hefty, but that's what's needed to lock in the variety of objects it can securely hold - especially heavier things. Carrying or rolling it is also very manageable and it takes up minimal space when stored in my garage. Invaluable and highly recommended!!!

Rockwell JawHorse is your friend!
I am using this tool for 2 years now, and every time I use it I can't express how glad I feel that I bought it! Having the tool is like having a pair of strong helping hands. And its jaw can open widely enough to hold any item in my woodworking projects I've done so far. The tool is very sturdy (that is why it is heavy!), convenient and very reliable. Five stars!

Great product but had one somewhat annoying issue
The JawHorse came quickly and was packed well in the box -- no visible damage. I opened it up, read the directions but when I first tried it out, the JawHorse would not lock. No matter what I did, it would not lock. Shipping this "puppy" back would be a big hassle so I took the face plate off that holds the lock button and the button fell out -- it was not connected to anything. I saw two holes in the back of the button so I figured something had to be connected to it. When I looked inside with a flashlight, I saw the connecting prongs (thin spring loaded metal prongs) and saw they they were to be inserted in the holes from the inside out -- the spring pushing them out and holding them in place (if you have this problem you will see what I mean). I squeezed the prongs together, inserted them in the holes, reinstalled the button and faceplate and it worked like it was intended to work.I gave a four star rating because of this problem -- the unit itself is fine and works well. However, if someone purchased this unit, had the same problem, and was a bit timid about taking the faceplate off (maybe void the warranty?) it would be an giant hassle to repack and ship it back. Also, since these "prongs" were spring loaded and pushing out (you had to pinch the spring together to insert it), there is absolutely no way they could have vibrated out during shipping. In my opinion, this was definitely a quality control problem -- the unit could not have been tested to see that it worked after being manufactured. The bottom line is I am happy with the unit thus far -- it is very sturdy and works fine. However, if you find that your lock/unlock button is not working at all or not working properly, take the face plate off and check to see that both "prongs" are inserted properly. Since they are spring loaded, they are spread far apart and it took a hard second look to find the second prong (there were two holes in the button so I figured there were two). Rockwell is a good brand name but I "dinged" them a star because the customer should not have to troubleshoot their products right out of the box.

Excellent helper
Bought this for my husband for his birthday- he'd never heard of it before. To his great surprise, he uses this almost every day for something- it is so strong and grips so well. He uses it mainly for cutting firewood right now, but also has plans to use it when building walls for a shed. Great tool.

It really works and it's high quality
I have been very pleased with this tool. I do wood carving, sometimes large and unwieldy shapes. The JawHorse is perfect. It really super clamps just about everything. Very easy to set up and operate. The quality is well worth the money. One small complaint is that the roller wheel to move it around is pretty useless. It's too small in diameter, it's very wobbly under the heavy weight of this machine. I often work outdoors on uneven ground and wheeling it around is just undoable. So I have to collapse it and move by lifting, which is not easy since it IS heavy and has an unwieldy shape. Kind of a two person job to move it without banging your chins or scraping your hands. It would be a simple matter to just put two good quality 3 or 4 inch rubber wheels on the upper frame. Widen the axle to prevent the wobbling.
