I’m really happy with this denim fabric! It’s lightweight a bit of stretchiness and soft enough to work with for handmade items like bags, skirts, and even some accent dainty handkerchief pieces. This item was presented as “denim” but it is, in fact, chambray, which is much lighter in weight. I would return the fabric but it is a perfect match for the fabric that I’m using for my decorating project. As chambray, it is not bad quality but I would have been VERY disappointed if my project required the heavier weight of denim.

It will shrink approximately 2 inches per yard after wash. Other than that, it is a nice lightweight cotton fabric.

5oz. Denim fabric in wide 2 yard pieces.I've bought this particular denim several times. With each piece of this fabric, the color and the weave of this yardage is consistent and even. It washed and dried very well. I washed mine in hot water to make sure it would be pre-shrunk (minimal) and "pre-bleed" some of fabric dye before I use in with quilting cottons in quilts. The weight is good for my projects. I'm no expert, but I do know a thing or two about fabrics. This feels like a quality chambray/light weight denim fabric to me. It comes in wide 2 yard pieces, each packed in cellophane and taped bags.Very nice product. I have already bought this several times, and would purchase again. I'd definitely advise laundering and check for color transfer or the dye bleeding, before using.

NOT Chambray. Arrived damaged. Ink markings on fabric AND bleach spots on fabric that appear to have been sprayed. This is regular quilting cotton, and not good quality at that. Returning and will not use seller again.
