Possibly the battery needs replacing. If that doesn't work then it 's probably faulty

Q: I swapped the battery and seems ok the battery in it was faulty

It is possible that this digital caliper is automatically turned on during transportation causing battery power loss. For this reason we have added a spare battery, which can be used to replace the original battery when it runs out of power. Thank you for your feedback, we plan to add an insulating piece in the battery compartment to prevent battery power loss.
