Daughter shows up one day with her husbands car and says it has a loud squeak in the rear. Pull the rear wheel only to find no pad at all and toasted rotor. Immediately ordered this kit and must say, a great deal. Rotors where heavy and not that cheap thin crap, Pads were good quality. Easy install and solid stopping power. The only knock I had which a few others mentioned, is the wear tab was missing on one of the pads. Will have to monitor manually

Just installed these as rear brake replacements on a 2013 Altima. For about what you would pay to get the old rotors machined you ca swap the rotors when replacing the pads. The original rear pads lasted 140K miles so I am not terribly concerned about longevity. Other reviews have noted the issue with the pad retainer clips. One tab protrudes beyond the casting creating potential interference with the washer on the main bolts. Had I only replaced the pads this would have been really annoying. Since I had to remove the caliper assembly to replace the rotor this was a minor nuisance. I simply bent and hammered the offending tab flat against the casting. Fortunately there is a small depression in the casting so I dodged a bullet. The break-in procedure is annoying but I guess this is common to many newer brake pads. 30 repetitions seems excessive. Be prepared to spend a half hour driving around on some back road starting and stopping and cooling and counting.
