How are the banana plugs physically attached to the wire? Crimped, soldered or something else?

Hi, they're soldered, the ends are connected to banana plug and heat shrink wrapped to ensure strengthen the connection

Are the ends soldered?

I can't be 100% sure since the bananas have heatshrink on them. I cant see any dimples were a set screw would be so my guess is they are soldered - it's also too smooth to be crimped. These are clearly not Audioquest or Kimber but they are pretty nice $25 cables.

Do you recommend adding a ferrite cord shield to your cable? If so, what is the outside diameter of the cable? Thanks

Not really but the Outer diameter is 6.0±0.10*12.0±0.20mm
