This RUSKPRO Smooth Titanium 1" Iron is premium quality without a doubt!!! I have tried many brands of flat irons and this is definitely one of the best out there!My hair is rather fine and is a combination of straight and wavy. It is straight near the front but super wavy/unruly in the back. Without straightening, it just looks like a hot mess. Since I do straighten my hair often, I want a product that gets the job done without being overly complicated. I need something that works well and gives me sleek, smooth looking results FAST!I appreciate that there are 10 temperature settings (highest being 450°F) because that gives me options. Since I have such fine, thin hair, I NEVER want to use a setting that is too hot. I start low and gradually increased the heat until I found the perfect setting. The iron automatically starts out at 350 degrees which is just right for my fine hair.The design is sleek and simple. It heats up quickly and I LOVE that the controls are on the inside. So many stylers have the controls on the outside so I am randomly turning it off or unknowingly increasing or decreasing the heat.The flat iron fits comfortably in my hand and I didn't experience any stiffness or hand fatigue during use.The flat iron itself doesn't get hot and I had no issues whatsoever with burning my head, hands, or fingertips. It has a tendency to lay on its side so you may want to rest it on something heat resistant if you are worrying about the hot plates touching your surface area.I didn't experience ANY snagging and the iron glided through my hair with smoothness and ease.In the end, I was left with smooth, sleek, professional looking results.

This rusk premium flat iron is premium in price but does the quality match? My answer is maybe and that it really depends on your needs and personal preferences. The flat iron is wide plates so you can do larger sections of your hair at once. It’s pretty lightweight and easy to hold and move around.This flat iron has 10 different heat settings that go up to 450°. I like that it gives you heat options instead of giving you one preset temperature because everyone has different hair types and will need different temps. For instance, I have relatively thick hair that is straight so I use one of the middle temperature settings. If you had thin hair you would start on a lower temperature to ensure you aren’t going to melt your hair off. No matter what temperature you put it on, it heats up very fast as soon as you plug it in.I think $160 is expensive for this flat iron but I know Rusk has positioned themselves to be a premium quality brand. I do think the quality is really nice and should be a long lasting flat iron, I’m just not sure if the features make it worth the price since it’s pretty basic in f functionality and doesn’t have any special features.

It is mostly straight but does hold a curl. It is color-treated and highlighted (bleached). It will hold a style for a few days. I normally wash and blow dry my hair every 2-3 days depending on the weather and usually use an iron on the following days after it is washed to maintain the style. This did a very good job on my second-day hair. I didn't note any damage and I was able to use this at a lower temperature than other brands which is much better for your hair.Good*heats up quickly - within seconds!*plates float so it straightens my hair in one pass*nice long cord on a swivel so it doesn't tang;e*interior controls so there is less chance of changing the setting or shutting off by mistake*super easy to use*shorter length which makes styling much easier*curls as well as straightenBad*no locking mechanism*controls are hard to see

I had an older Rusk that was amazing. This one my hair doesn’t look like I straightened it when I’m done it’s still fluffy and frizzy I’m sad need a new brand straightener

I’m impressed with this straightening iron—from the layout of controls to smooth, straight hair results. The tool easily glides through my wavy hair, and leaves a smooth, natural look. There are ten temp settings, but it automatically heats up to 350°, and does so quickly. That is the recommended temperature for normal textured hair, and that setting works well for me. The power cord is a generous nine feet, and Rusk offers a two year warranty. I get satisfactory results in minutes—couldn’t be happier.
