Grand daughter loved it

We love all of Jan Brett's books! Full of her beautiful, detailed illustrations of which those on the border are so fun to look at. She does such an excellent job with her books that readers and listeners of all ages will be engaged.

Board books for young children are great. Brett's illustrations are beautiful.Gave several titles to different families for Christmas.

This is a great book for little ones.

While looking for fairy tales for granddaughter I noticed there are so many versions now days of these books and quite a few cartoony or not very well done. This version is just what I was looking for, true to the story and great art work. For me beautiful illustrations are part of the story and memorable stories has the great art work to go with them so when I found this book I knew it was the perfect Goldilocks and the Three Bears book for our granddaughter. I want her to experience the fairy tales with great books as we had when we were children. This is it.

My 2.5 year old son absolutely loves this book. He asks to read it a few times a week, if not every day. It’s also fun to read because the illustrations are so beautiful. So happy this is the Goldielocks book we purchased!

This book is beautifully illustrated, but can you expect any less from Jan Brett? I didn't really like the wording for the family members. You keep having to say Great Huge Bear, Medium-sized Bear, and Small Little Wee Bear over and over instead of just Mama, Papa, and Baby Bear. It got annoying so when I read it again I changed it to just Huge, Medium, and Little instead.

Have loved Jan Brett books for their originality and their lively, elaborate and brightly colored illustrationsthat seem to draw one right into the midst of the activity within the story. How clever to create more actionin the border on each page. This classic story is well told and true to the original story. Goldilocks was sonamed for her golden curls, yet Jan Brett created the main character with blond braids instead. I selectedthis book for the delightful illustrations which were highly important for a display and presentation onStorybook Characters and their Books, featuring my doll, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Very happy with theexcellent condition and price of this hardcover copy.
