Beautiful replacement Seat and it is an industrial strength sturdy seat, IT DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL!Money well spent.

i like the thickness of the seat because it's very sturdy. I'm a short guy and on stand to reach the paper roll cabinet above it. the middle cut perfect your male parts won't touch the lid.

The mistake-free install is easy. Once installed, the seat and cover, placed "up" are virtually vertical, plus maybe 1 degree of back tilt. Effect is to make the seat and cover flop down while ...uh.. needing the seat up.I had to sand off the back edge of the cover, which was what made the incorrect resting contact with the (separate) lugs. Re-engineered geometry isn't what a customer should have to do to have normal toilet seat function. Excellent and sturdy otherwise.

My home's toilets are commercial elongated. I'd previously bought another brand seat that was suppose to fit by their given size specs but it came up short all around the edges by about a 1/4 inch. This one fits perfectly. The other reason I bought it was for the all metal hinges. Rust-free stainless steel bolts and hinge pins in a painted metal component and not simply imbedded in plastic. Hopefully this choice will last many years and not suffer the broken hinge issue of the plastic ones. The seat and lid is all plastic. Might be some flex in the lid if a heavy body was to sit there but I'm sure it would return. Light, and easy to spray and wipe clean. The lid is not one of those ones that have a quick remove feature for easier cleaning and does not have a slow-close feature but this is all fine by me.

Remove plastic piece from the screw assembly so putty ring will settle in place.

I should probably give this an extra star but I am not going to. You'll need real tools to install this as the hardware is metal (That's a good thing once it's done). It's easy to clean and looks good... but it's not really comfortable to sit on. It's well priced for the quality though.

I bought this for my better half. He likes it but he keeps asking me to tighten it up because it's slipping. (He is handicapped and cannot do it himself.) It's hard to get at with so little room between it and the vanity and the tub. The bolt is so long I don't have a socket wrench that fits it and there's little room for anything else so I have to finger tighten it.

Although instructions were easy to understand there was a fault in the left thread and bolt. Whilst installing the thread seemed to work. However it would not go all the way up to tightly close it. So decided to unwind the bolt and start again, that’s where it would not unwind or come down the thread. It just kept rotating. The seat remained loose. After 1 hour of attempts using specialist ratchet and some force it came off. The thread on the left one is not right. So we won’t be using this seat as the thread doesn’t allow to fasten it properly. So it’s best to not install it.

This seat is amazingly sturdy, with a hardware kit to make your dad proud.The notched front is great for guys that don't have much space for their member when sitting. If you have a round bowl and have thought about uograding to an elongated bowl to give some room, this notched round bowl seat will save you plumbing hassles.

The installation is a bit different . Read the instructions, and no problem. We bought this for our kids' bathroom. With 3 boys, the open front was a must. It's commercial quality, which makes it more than durable enough for residential use
