When I first opened these things they smelled beyond toxic. Unlike some products they at least stopped smelling bad after sitting out for a few days. Washing did not help at all though, so I had to wait to give these to my son. Hopefully they are not toxic just to play with as they are now, but I have DS wash his hands every time he plays with them just to be safe.But other than the odor/toxicity concern these things are great. I gave some out to friends as party favors and kept about half of them. The kids really stretched them and did crazy things to them and they didn't break. My son used them at Disney while waiting in line and had a lot of fun braiding them and tying them together, in addition to twisting and pulling them. They feel really neat and don't tend to pick up dirt. They are easy to rinse off when needed.I'd probably purchase them again, but it would be nice to know exactly what chemicals we are exposing our kids to when we buy toys. And for said toys to not smell like toxic waste!

I was unsure about the durability of the things. I was also unsure about the usefulness of them. If you have the same doubts, then let me assure you; you need not worry! I actually gave a good go at trying to break these things. There's 12 of them in the pack, so why not? I was unsuccessful at my attempts and I don't think my little girl is stronger than I. They are durable, easily untie from a knot, do not smell funny, are not greasy, and I played with one for an hour!There, most reviews are summed up to this one. Our special needs girl is able to focus on things now. Instead of ripping paper everywhere, she stretches these things. I'm sure it also gives her a workout, which is a bonus! I have already recommended these to our parent group.

The most unfortunate thing about buying this type of product from other makers is the fact that there is a disgusting and toxic smelling residue that is all over these stretch toys. I expected the same with these but to my amazement these ones actually are completely residue free and I felt safe giving them to my kids. As for my kids they love these. My daughter uses them as pretend food for her other toys and for whatever other reasons she just likes them and stores them with her favorite toys. I bought these for my autistic son and because of the unique cleanliness of this specific brand I have not regretted the purchase.

I am a talk therapist, and bought these for my adult clients to knot up, untie, and just in general fidget with. Prior to this purchase, I had bought two at a store for $8. Some of my clients told me it helped stimulate them cognitively, others found it soothing and helped lower their anxiety and decreased restlessness. Ultimately, I ended up giving them to clients and was on the search for more. After reading the reviews, I decided to give these a try. I was unsure if they would be the same quality, as these are much cheaper than the brand I had bought previously. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME! Same quality, texture, durability, and has the same stretch, just a better price! I am so happy I bought these.

I bought these as a fidget tool to keep in my "calm down" bin in my second-grade classroom. I have not tested them out yet, but my own children have put their stretchiness to the test at home this week. Not a single one has been broken, and all have been stretched beyond belief and look new. I will warn if you are going to use these in a classroom, there will need to be a lot of pre-teaching and expectations as they are pretty fun to slingshot at people and really do hurt. I know for myself, these will stay in our calm down/break area and not go anywhere else. Not inside desks, etc. At least for the group I have this year.

I purchased these for my two kids-- 2 under 2 to play with when we travel. These are super light weight and can be stuffed in a small bag with no issues. They're very easy to travel with and take to restaurants. We use these in restaurants especially because they can be tied to things on the table and provide entertainment for a while. My youngest like to chew on them. I have not noticed that he can break it, so I don't consider it a hazard-- maybe when he gets more teeth. We got a lot for the money, so if we lose one, its not the end of the world. Good buy.

THis works with and for students who have autism as a sensory toy and has only now shown wear and tear after 5 years so it's not bad

I bought some for a close friend of mine and also shared them with a few other people. It's served its purpose and it's a lot of fun to witness them have fun with the stretch toys, make different shapes and quite simply enjoying themselves with the product. Really happy I was able to help bring that experience to them. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to have something like this in an office, their room or just to have for fun.
