Q: How well does it work in the rear? Will it prevent mud, water, and debris from being thrown up your back? What would work better?

I mounted these on my 2019 Trek Marlin 7 with 29” tires front (2.2”) and rear (2.0). The front fender keeps most of the spray and mud from flying up but really its function seems to be keeping the fork clean. IMO a downtube guard would be better to protect your face. As a rear fender I wouldn’t recommend it at all as my back was still peppered with mud.

Q: I saw one review on how this mud guard won't fit a manitou machete (i have this front fork on my mtb)-is it true?

It should fit perfectly fine on your fork

Q: Can this actually fit a 4" fat bike tire?

I feel like my 3 inch 27.5 plus tire is the limit. A bit larger and I'm pretty sure the narrow side of the fender won't cover a wider tire. It will work, but you might something bigger.

Q: Will this fit my 150/190 spaceing,and will it fit the front and the rear?

It will fit. But greatly disappointed. Do not use as it rubs consistently on tire.
